Quiver theories constitute an important class of supersymmetric gauge theories with well-defined holographic duals. Motivated by holographic duality, we use localisation on $S^d$ to study long linear quivers at large-N. The large-N solution shows a remarkable degree of universality across dimensions, including $d = 4$ where quivers are genuinely superconformal. In that case we upgrade the solution of long quivers to quivers of any length.

We find the warped AdS_4 x K type-IIB supergravity solutions holographically dual to a large family of three dimensional \cN=4 superconformal field theories labeled by a pair (\rho,\hat\rho) of partitions of N. These superconformal theories arise as renormalization group fixed points of three dimensional mirror symmetric quiver gauge theories, denoted by T^{\rho}_{\hat \rho}(SU(N)) and T_{\rho}^{\hat \rho}(SU(N)) respectively. We give a supergravity derivation of the conjectu...

In this work we compare different descriptions of the space of vacua of certain three dimensional N=4 superconformal field theories, compactified on a circle and mass-deformed to N=2 in a canonical way. The original N=4 theories are known to admit two distinct mirror descriptions as linear quiver gauge theories, and many more descriptions which involve the compactification on a segment of four-dimensional N=4 super Yang-Mills theory. Each description gives a distinct presenta...

Quivers, gauge theories and singular geometries are of great interest in both mathematics and physics. In this note, we collect a few open questions which have arisen in various recent works at the intersection between gauge theories, representation theory, and algebraic geometry. The questions originate from the study of supersymmetric gauge theories in different dimensions with different supersymmetries. Although these constitute merely the tip of a vast iceberg, we hope th...

We show that applying the Bailey lemma to elliptic hypergeometric integrals on the $A_n$ root system leads to a large web of dualities for $\mathcal{N} = 1$ supersymmetric linear quiver theories. The superconformal index of Seiberg's SQCD with $SU(N_c)$ gauge group and $SU(N_f)\times SU(N_f)\times U(1)$ flavour symmetry is equal to that of $N_f-N_c-1$ distinct linear quivers. Seiberg duality further enlarges this web by adding new quivers. In particular, both interacting elec...

In this paper we construct a new Type IIB background with an $AdS_4$ factor that preserves ${\cal N}=4$ Supersymmetry. This solution is obtained using a non-Abelian T-duality transformation on the Type IIA reduction of the $AdS_4\times S^7$ background. We interpret our configuration as a patch of a more general background with localised sources, dual to the renormalisation fixed point of a $T_{\rho}^{\hat{\rho}} (SU(N))$ quiver field theory. This relates explicitly the $AdS_4...

We construct the type-IIB $AdS_4\times K$ supergravity solutions which are dual to the three-dimensional ${\cal N}=4$ superconformal field theories that arise as infrared fixed points of circular-quiver gauge theories. These superconformal field theories are labeled by a triple $(\rho,\hat \rho,L)$ subject to constraints, where $\rho$ and $\hat \rho$ are two partitions of a number $N$, and $L$ is a positive integer. We show that in the limit of large $L$ the localized five-br...

We study four-dimensional $\mathcal N=2$ superconformal circular, cyclic symmetric quiver theories which are planar equivalent to $\mathcal N=4$ super Yang-Mills. We use localization to compute nonplanar corrections to the free energy and the circular half-BPS Wilson loop in these theories for an arbitrary number of nodes, and examine their behaviour in the limit of long quivers. Exploiting the relationship between the localization quiver matrix integrals and an integrable Be...

We review how localization is used to probe holographic duality and, more generally, non-perturbative dynamics of four-dimensional N=2 supersymmetric gauge theories in the planar large-N limit.

Using localization, matrix model and saddle-point techniques, we determine exact behavior of circular Wilson loop in N=2 superconformal (quiver) gauge theories. Focusing at planar and large `t Hooft couling limits, we compare its asymptotic behavior with well-known exponential growth of Wilson loop in N=4 super Yang-Mills theory. For theory with gauge group SU(N) coupled to 2N fundamental hypermultiplets, we find that Wilson loop exhibits non-exponential growth -- at most, it...

This thesis is based on the publications arXiv:1106.4253, arXiv:1206.2920, arXiv:1210.2590. We construct warped "AdS_4 x S^2 x S^2 x \Sigma" type IIB supergravity solutions dual to the infrared fixed points of all 3d N=4 linear and circular quivers. We provide checks of the correspondence by evaluating the supergravity action in a large N limit and by matching it with the computation of the free energy obtained from matrix models. To complete previous work, we establish the h...
