We construct 3d, N=2 supersymmetric gauge theories by considering a one-parameter `R-flow' of 4d, N=2 theories, where the central charges vary while preserving their phase order. Each BPS state in 4d leads to a BPS particle in 3d, and thus each chamber of the 4d theory leads to a distinct 3d theory. We present explicit methods for computing the discriminant curves and the associated Kodaira type fiber degeneracies of elliptically fibered Calabi-Yau threefolds. We study the BPS spectrum of supersymmetric 5 dimensional field theories and their representations as string webs. It is found that a state of given charges exists when it has a representation as an irreducible string web. Its spin is determined by the string web. We review the connection of $Y$- and $Q$-systems with the BPS spectra of $4D$ $\mathcal{N}=2$ supersymmetric QFTs. We study N=(2,2) supersymmetric abelian gauge theories in two dimensions. In this paper we set out to further explore the connection between isolated N=2 SCFT's in four dimensions and N=1 SCFT's in five dimensions. Using 5-brane webs we are able to provide IR Lagrangian descriptions in terms of 5d gauge theories for several classes of theories including the so-called TN theories.
