We investigate scalar particle creation in a set of bouncing models where the bounce occurs due to quantum cosmological effects described by the Wheeler-DeWitt equation. The scalar field can be either conformally or minimally coupled to gravity, and it can be massive or massless, without self interaction. The analysis is made for models containing a single radiation fluid, and for the more realistic case of models containing the usual observed radiation and dust fluids, which...

A model of phantom scalar field dark energy under exponential potential coupling to barotropic dark matter fluid in loop quantum cosmology is addressed here. We derive a closed-autonomous system for cosmological dynamics in this scenario. The expansion in loop quantum universe has a bounce even in presence of the phantom field. The greater decaying from dark matter to dark phantom energy results in greater energy storing in the phantom field. This results in further turning p...

A new model is studied which describes the quantum behavior of transitions through an isotropic quantum cosmological bounce in loop quantum cosmology sourced by a free and massless scalar field. As an exactly solvable model even at the quantum level, it illustrates properties of dynamical coherent states and provides the basis for a systematic perturbation theory of loop quantum gravity. The detailed analysis is remarkably different from what is known for harmonic oscillator ...

In this paper, we investigate cosmological particle production using quantum field theory (QFT). We will consider how production of scalar particles can occur in an expanding universe. By introducing a time-dependent energy parameter representing the time evolution of the universe, the initial vacuum state will be excited. Consequently, creation of particles is present. Here, our focus is mainly creation of minimally coupled scalar particles in Minkowski spacetime.

In this work we use the Loop Quantum Cosmology modified scalar-tensor reconstruction techniques in order to investigate how bouncing and inflationary cosmologies can be realized. With regard to the inflationary cosmologies, we shall be interested in realizing the intermediate inflation and the Type IV singular inflation, while with regard to bouncing cosmologies, we shall realize the superbounce and the symmetric bounce. In all the cases, we shall find the kinetic term of the...

It is known that in loop quantum cosmology (LQC) the universe avoids the singularity by a bounce when the matter density approaches the critical density $\rho_c$ (the order of Planck density). After incorporating the inverse volume modifications both in the gravitational and matter part in the improved framework of LQC, we find that the inverse volume modification can decrease the bouncing energy scale, and the presence of nonsingular bounce is generic. For the backward evolu...

Several examples are known where quantum gravity effects resolve the classical big bang singularity by a bounce. The most detailed analysis has probably occurred for loop quantum cosmology of isotropic models sourced by a free, massless scalar. Once a bounce has been realized under fairly general conditions, the central questions are how strongly quantum it behaves, what influence quantum effects can have on its appearance, and what quantum space-time beyond the bounce may lo...

Analytical and numerical methods are developed to analyze the quantum nature of the big bang in the setting of loop quantum cosmology. They enable one to explore the effects of quantum geometry both on the gravitational and matter sectors and significantly extend the known results on the resolution of the big bang singularity. Specifically, the following results are established for the homogeneous isotropic model with a massless scalar field: i) the scalar field is shown to s...

Loop quantum cosmology is a symmetry-reduced application of loop quantum gravity. The theory predicts a bounce for the universe at the Planck scale and resolves the singularity of standard cosmology. The dynamics is also governed by an effective Hamiltonian, which predicts a modified Friedmann equation containing the quadratic terms of the energy density. The term plays an essential role in the high energy regime, but the equations return to the standard form in the low energ...

It is well known that a closed universe with a minimally coupled massive scalar field always collapses to a singularity unless the initial conditions are extremely fine tuned. We show that the corrections to the equations of motion for the massive scalar field, given by loop quantum gravity in high curvature regime, always lead to a bounce independently of the initial conditions. In contrast to the previous works in loop quantum cosmology, we note that the singularity can be ...
