We investigate the correlation properties of the ground state of Tonks-Gigrardeal gases in the momentum space. With Bose-Fermi mapping method the exact ground state wavefunction in coordinate space can be obtained basing on the wavefunction of spin-polarized Fermions. By Fourier transformation we obtain the ground state wavefunction in momentum space, and therefore the momentum distribution, pair correlation and the reduced one-body density matrix (ROBDM) in momentum space. We consider the McGuire model of a one-dimensional gas of free fermions interacting with a single impurity. We compute the static one-body function and momentum distribution of the impurity at finite temperatures. The results involve averages over Fredholm determinants that we further analyse using the effective form factors approach. With this approach, we derive the large-distance behaviour of the one-body function, which takes the form of an averaged exponential decay. Thi...

We consider an impurity in a sea of zero-temperature fermions uniformly distributed throughout the space. The impurity scatters on fermions. On average, the momentum of impurity decreases with time as $t^{-1/(d+1)}$ in $d$ dimensions, and the momentum distribution acquires a scaling form in the long time limit. We solve the Lorentz-Boltzmann equation for the scaled momentum distribution of the impurity in three dimensions. The solution is a combination of confluent hypergeome...

We studied the properties of a single impurity atom immersed in a dilute Bose condensate at low temperatures. In particular, we perturbatively obtained the momentum dependence of the impurity spectrum and damping. By means of the Brillouin-Wigner perturbation theory we also calculated the self-energy both for attractive and repulsive polaron in the long-wavelength limit. The stability problem of the impurity atom in a weakly-interacting Bose gas is also examined.

We consider the motion of a spin-1/2 impurity in a one-dimensional gas of spin-1/2 fermions. For antiferromagnetic interaction between the impurity and the fermions, the low temperature behavior of the system is governed by the two-channel Kondo effect, leading to the impurity becoming completely opaque to the spin excitations of the gas. As well as the known spectral signatures of the two-channel Kondo effect, we find that the low temperature mobility of the resulting `Kondo...

We investigate the ground state of the one-dimensional interacting anyonic system based on the exact Bethe ansatz solution for arbitrary coupling constant ($0\leq c\leq \infty$) and statistics parameter ($0\leq \kappa \leq \pi$). It is shown that the density of state in quasi-momentum $k$ space and the ground state energy are determined by the renormalized coupling constant $c'$. The effect induced by the statistics parameter $\kappa$ exhibits in the momentum distribution in ...

We discuss the dynamics of the formation of a Bose polaron when an impurity is injected into a weakly interacting one-dimensional Bose condensate. While for small impurity-boson couplings this process can be described within the Froehlich model as generation, emission and binding of Bogoliubov phonons, this is no longer adequate if the coupling becomes strong. To treat this regime we consider a mean-field approach beyond the Froehlich model which accounts for the backaction t...

The momentum, fermionic density, spin density, and interaction dependencies of the exponents that control the (momentum-energy)-plane singular features of the one-fermion spectral functions of a one-dimensional gas of spin-1/2 fermions with repulsive delta-function interaction both at zero and finite magnetic field are studied in detail. Our results refer to energy scales beyond the reach of the low-energy Tomonaga-Luttinger liquid and rely on the pseudofermion dynamical theo...

Recent studies have demonstrated that higher than two-body bath-impurity correlations are not important for quantitatively describing the ground state of the Bose polaron. Motivated by the above, we employ the so-called Gross Ansatz (GA) approach to unravel the stationary and dynamical properties of the homogeneous one-dimensional Bose-polaron for different impurity momenta and bath-impurity couplings. We explicate that the character of the equilibrium state crossovers from t...

We calculate zero temperature Green's function, the density--density correlation and expectation values of a one--dimensional quantum particle which interacts with a Fermi--sea via a $\delta$--potential. The eigenfunctions of the Bethe-Ansatz solvable model can be expressed as a determinant. This allows us to obtain a compact expression for the Green's function of the extra particle. In the hardcore limit the resulting expression can be analysed further using Painlev{\'e} V t...
