This is the second part of the project toward an effective algorithm to evaluate all genus Gromov-Witten invariants of quintic Calabi-Yau threefolds. In this paper, the localization formula is derived, and algorithms toward evaluating these Gromov-Witten invariants are derived.

Using numerical methods for finding Ricci-flat metrics, we explore the spectrum of local operators in two-dimensional conformal field theories defined by sigma models on Calabi-Yau targets at large volume. Focusing on the examples of K3 and the quintic, we show that the spectrum, averaged over a region in complex structure moduli space, possesses the same statistical properties as the Gaussian orthogonal ensemble of random matrix theory.

The paper investigates some aspects of the geometry and the arithmetic of a non-rigid Calabi-Yau threefold. Particular emphasis is given to the study of its L-function L(H^3,s) and the Galois representation.

We carry out the explicit computations that are used to write down the integrable hierarchy associated with the quintic Calabi-Yau threefold. We also do the calculations for the geometric structures emerging in the Gromov-Witten theory of the quintic, such as the Frobenius manifold structure and the special K\"ahler structure.

We study Calabi-Yau manifolds defined over finite fields. These manifolds have parameters, which now also take values in the field and we compute the number of rational points of the manifold as a function of the parameters. The intriguing result is that it is possible to give explicit expressions for the number of rational points in terms of the periods of the holomorphic three-form. We show also, for a one parameter family of quintic threefolds, that the number of rational ...

We present closed form expressions for the ranks of all cohomology groups of holomorphic line bundles on several Calabi-Yau threefolds realised as complete intersections in products of projective spaces. The formulae have been obtained by systematising and extrapolating concrete calculations and they have been checked computationally. Although the intermediate calculations often involve laborious computations of ranks of Leray maps in the Koszul spectral sequence, the final r...

This paper aims to compute and estimate the eigenvalues of the Hodge Laplacians on directed graphs. We have devised a new method for computing Hodge spectra with the following two ingredients. (I) We have observed that the product rule does work for the so-called normalized Hodge operator, denoted by $\Delta _{p}^{(a)},$ where $a$ refers to the weight that is used to redefine the inner product in the spaces $\Omega _{p}$. This together with the K\"{u}nneth formula for produ...

The deformation approach of arXiv:2104.07816 for computing zeta functions of one-parameter Calabi-Yau threefolds is generalised to cover also multiparameter manifolds. Consideration of the multiparameter case requires the development of an improved formalism. This allows us, among other things, to make progress on some issues left open in previous work, such as the treatment of apparent and conifold singularities and changes of coordinates. We also discuss the efficient numer...

We discuss the extent to which numerical techniques for computing approximations to Ricci-flat metrics can be used to investigate hierarchies of curvature scales on Calabi-Yau manifolds. Control of such hierarchies is integral to the validity of curvature expansions in string effective theories. Nevertheless, for seemingly generic points in moduli space it can be difficult to analytically determine if there might be a highly curved region localized somewhere on the Calabi-Yau...

In this paper we treat in details a modular variety $\cal Y$ that has a Calabi-Yau model, $\tilde{\cal Y}$. We shall describe the structure of the ring of modular forms and its geometry. We shall illustrate two different methods of producing the Hodge numbers. The first uses the definition of $\cal Y$ as the quotient of another known Calabi-Yau variety. In this case we will get the Hodge numbers considering the action of the group on a crepant resolution $\tilde{\cal X}$ of $...
