From the analysis of more than 92 ks of data obtained with the laxpc instrument on board Astrosat we have detected a clear high-frequency QPO whose frequency varies between 67.4 and 72.3 Hz. In the classification of variability classes of GRS 1915+105, at the start of the observation period the source was in class omega and at the end the variability was that of class mu: both classes are characterized by the absence of hard intervals and correspond to disk-dominated spectra....

We measured the phase-lag spectrum of the high-frequency quasi-periodic oscillations (QPO) in the black hole systems (at QPO frequencies) GRS 1915+105 (35 Hz and 67 Hz), GRO J1655-40 (300 Hz and 450 Hz), XTE J1550-564 (180 Hz and 280 Hz), and IGR J17091-3624 (67 Hz). We present results from the analysis of X-ray energy spectra and quasi- periodic oscillations (QPOs) from a set of observations which samples a broad range of time variability in GRS 1915+105. A few classes of the light curve of the black hole candidate GRS 1915+105 have been analyzed in detail. We discover that unlike the previous findings, QPOs occasionally occur even in the so-called `On' or softer states. Such findings may require a revision of the accretion/wind scenario of the black hole candidates. A generic model for alternating lags in QPO harmonics is presented where variations in the photon spectrum are caused by oscillations in two parameters that characterize the spectrum. From data obtained from the PCA in the 2-11 keV and 11-30.5 keV energy range, GRS 1915+105 is seen during RXTE observations between 1996 May and October on two separate branches in a hardness intensity diagram. We report on the timing analysis of RXTE observations of the Galactic micro-quasar GRS 1915+105 performed in 2003. Out of a total of six times ~20 ks, we focus here only on the three observations during which GRS 1915+105 is found in a steady C-state (referred to as class $\chi$) resulting in a total of \~50 ks. We have analyzed publicly available RXTE/PCAs archival data of GRS 1915+105 during its burst/flaring state. The burst cycle ranges from 30 to 1300 s. These bursts are different from the type I and type II classical bursts seen in Low Mass X-ray Binaries (LMXBs) in terms of their temporal and spectral properties.
