The magnetic phase diagram of La2-xSrxCuO4 thin-films grown on single-crystal LaSrAlO4 substrates has been determined by low-energy muon-spin rotation. We present results of magnetic neutron diffraction experiments on the co-doped super-oxygenated La(2-x)Sr(x)CuO(4+y) (LSCO+O) system with x=0.09. The spin-density wave has been studied and we find long-range incommensurate antiferromagnetic order below T_N coinciding with the superconducting ordering temperature T_c=40 K. Resistivity and magnetization measurements are used for studying the transverse sliding of AF domain boundaries in lightly doped La_{2-x}Sr_{x}CuO_{4}. We discuss that it is the freezing of the transverse boundary motion that is responsible for the appearance of ``spin-glass'' features at low temperatures.

We have measured the superconducting critical temperature (Tc) and the diamagnetic susceptibility of La2-xSrxCuO4 single crystals in various magnetic fields. We observed a field-induced evolution from an apparent Tc phase to an intrinsic Tc1 = 15 K or Tc2 = 30 K phase characterized by "magic" hole concentration which is commensurate with that of a two dimensional electronic lattice. Magnetic excitations in the energy range up to 100 meV are studied for over-doped La$_{2-x}$Sr$_{x}$CuO$_{4}$ with $x=0.25$ and 0.30, using time-of-flight neutron spectroscopy. Comparison of spectra integrated over the width of an antiferromagnetic Brillouin zone demonstrates that the magnetic scattering at intermediate energies, $20 \lesssim \omega \lesssim 100$ meV, progressively decreases with over-doping. We report Cu and La nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) measurements in the title compound that reveal an inhomogeneous glassy behavior of the spin dynamics. A low temperature peak in the La spin lattice relaxation rate and the ``wipeout'' of Cu intensity both arise from these slow electronic spin fluctuations that reveal a distribution of activation energies. Inhomogeneous slowing of spin fluctuations appears to be a general feature of doped lanthanum cuprate.
