We present new solutions to the Einstein-Maxwell equations representing a class of charged distorted black holes. These solutions are static-axisymmetric and are generalizations of the distorted black hole solutions studied by Geroch and Hartle. Physically, they represent a charged black hole distorted by external matter fields. We discuss the zeroth and first law for these black holes. The first law is proved in two different forms, one motivated by the isolated horizon framework and the other using normalizations at infinity.

We derive and study distorted, five-dimensional, electrically charged, non-extremal black holes on the example of a static and "axisymmetric" black hole distorted by external, electrically neutral matter. The solution satisfies Einstein-Maxwell equations which admits an $\mathbb{R}^1\times U(1)\times U(1)$ isometry group. The inner horizon remains regular if the distortion fields are finite and smooth at the outer horizon. There exists a certain duality transformation between ...

We construct exact static, axisymmetric solutions of Einstein-Maxwell-dilaton gravity presenting distorted charged dilaton black holes. The thermodynamics of such distorted black holes is also discussed.

We study interior of a charged, non-rotating distorted black hole. We consider static and axisymmetric black holes, and focus on a special case when an electrically charged distorted solution is obtained by the Harrison-Ernst transformation from an uncharged one. We demonstrate that the Cauchy horizon of such black hole remains regular, provided the distortion is regular at the event horizon. The shape and the inner geometry of both the outer and inner (Cauchy) horizons are s...

We discuss universal properties of axisymmetric and stationary configurations consisting of a central black hole and surrounding matter in Einstein-Maxwell theory. In particular, we find that certain physical equations and inequalities (involving angular momentum, electric charge and horizon area) are not restricted to the Kerr-Newman solution but can be generalized to the situation where the black hole is distorted by an arbitrary axisymmetric and stationary surrounding matt...

We present a general procedure for constructing exact black hole solutions with electric or magnetic charges in General Relativity coupled to a nonlinear electrodynamics. We obtain a variety of two-parameter family spherically symmetric black hole solutions. In particular, the singularity at the central of the space-time can be cancelled in the parameters space and the black hole solutions become regular everywhere in the space-time. We study the global properties of the solu...

Static spherically symmetric solutions of the Einstein-Maxwell gravity with the dilaton field are described. The solutions correspond to black holes and are generalizations of the previously known dilaton black hole solution. In addition to mass and electric charge these solutions are labeled by a new parameter, the dilaton charge of the black hole. Different effects of the dilaton charge on the geometry of space-time of such black holes are studied. It is shown that in most ...

We construct charged asymptotically flat black hole solutions in Einstein-Maxwell-Weyl(EMW) gravity. These solutions can be interpreted as generalizations of two different groups: Schwarzschild black hole (SBH) and non-Schwarzschild black hole (NSBH) solutions. In addition, we discuss the thermodynamic properties of two groups of numerical solutions in detail, and show that they obey the first law of thermodynamics.

We present a new class of black hole solutions in Einstein-Maxwell-dilaton gravity in $n \ge 4$ dimensions. These solutions have regular horizons and a singularity only at the origin. Their asymptotic behavior is neither asymptotically flat nor (anti-) de Sitter. Similar solutions exist for certain Liouville-type potentials for the dilaton.

In this paper, new electrically charged asymptotically flat black hole solutions are numerically derived in the context of higher derivative gravity. These solutions can be interpreted as generalizations of two different classes of non-charged asymptotically flat spacetimes: Schwarzschild and non-Schwarzschild solutions. Extreme black hole solutions and black holes with negative mass were found.

We extend an earlier investigation of the thermodynamics of static black holes in an Einstein-Horndeski theory of gravity coupled to a scalar field, by including now an elec- tromagnetic field as well. By studying the two-parameter families of charged static black holes, we obtain much more powerful constraints on the thermodynamics since, unlike in the uncharged one-parameter case, now the right-hand side of the first law is not automatically integrable. In fact, this allows...
