Puzzle Pieces: Results on bbbar and ccbar Spectroscopy and Decay

A review of the present status of the spectroscopy of heavy quarkonia (b-bbar, c-cbar) is presented.

Before it stopped data taking in 2008, CLEO had accumulated a large amount of e+e- data in the bottomonium and charmonium regions. These data have led to valuable contributions in the spectroscopy of both |ccbar> and |bbbar> quarkonia, and their continuing analysis is leading to new physics results. We examine the spectra and radiative decays of the cc-bar and bb-bar systems using a model which incorporates the complete one-loop spin-dependent perturbative QCD short distance potential, a linear confining term including (spin-dependent) relativistic corrections to order v^2/c^2, and a fully relativistic treatment of the kinetic energy. We compare the predictions of this model to experiments, including states and decays recently measured at Belle, BaBar, CLEO and CDF.

This paper reviews the experimental status of heavy baryons. It covers the aspec ts of production, spectroscopy and decay presenting recent results obtained in this fi eld. It closes with an outlook on further work on and with heavy baryons and their po ssible role for other measurements.

We discuss recent results on heavy and light baryon spectroscopy

Some recent progress and a personal selection of open problems in heavy quarkonium physics (spectroscopy, decay and production) inspired by the activity of the Quarkonium Working Group are reviewed.

During the past year many interesting results were published in heavy quark baryon spectroscopy. In addition to several refined measurements, new states were directly observed both in the charm and the bottom sector. In this paper we review recent results on heavy quark baryons from B-factories and Tevatron experiments.

Two topics are briefly reviewed in this talk: the decay of flavored hadrons or quarkonium states involving a baryon--antibaryon pair, and the spectroscopy of heavy baryons containing one, two or three heavy quarks. Some prospects for exotic heavy baryons are also discussed.

Some recent results and problems in the theory of particles containing heavy quarks ar reviewed.

Some recent discoveries in the spectroscopy of hadrons containing heavy quarks, and some of their theoretical interpretations, are reviewed.
