The processes $\psi(2S)\to \gamma \pi^+ \pi^-$, $\gamma K^+ K^-$ and $\gamma p \bar{p}$ have been studied using a sample of $3.7 \times 10^6$ produced $\psi(2S)$ decays. We determine the total width of the $\chi_{c0}$ to be $\Gamma^{tot}_{\chi_{c0}} = 14.3\pm 2.0\pm 3.0$ MeV. We present the first measurement of the branching fraction $B(\chi_{c0} \to p \bar{p}) = (16.3 \pm 4.4 \pm 5.4)\times 10^{-5}$, where the first error is statistical and the second one systematic. Branchi...

Using a sample of $(1310.6\pm7.0)\times10^6$ $J/\psi$ events recorded with the BESIII detector at the symmetric electron positron collider BEPCII, we report the observation of the decay of the $(1^1 S_0)$ charmonium state $\eta_c$ into a pair of $\omega$ mesons in the process $J/\psi\to\gamma\omega\omega$. The branching fraction is measured for the first time to be $\mathcal{B}(\eta_c\to\omega\omega)= (2.88\pm0.10\pm0.46\pm0.68)\times10^{-3}$, where the first uncertainty is s...

Using a data sample of 24.5 million psi(2S) the reactions psi(2S)->gamma chi_cJ, chi_cJ->gamma gamma have been studied for the first time to determine the two-photon widths of the chi_cJ states of charmonium in their decay into two photons. The measured quantities are B(psi(2S)->gamma chi_c0)xB(chi_c0->gamma gamma)=(2.22+-0.32+-0.10)x10^-5, and B(psi(2S)->gamma chi_c2)xB(chi_c2->gamma gamma)=(2.70+-0.28+-0.15)x10^-5. Using values for B(psi(2S)->gamma chi_c0,c2) and \Gamma(chi...

In this report I review some results on the charmonium and light hadron spectroscopy mainly from BESIII and Belle experiments. For the charmonium, the contents include the observation of $\psi(4040)/\psi(4160) \to \eta \jpsi$, the measurements of the $\eta_c/\eta_c(2S)$ resonance parameters and their decays, the evidence of the $\psi_2(1^3D_2)$ state in the $\chi_{c1}\gamma$ mass spectrum. For the light hadron spectroscopy, the contents include the $X(1835)$ research in $e^+e...

Using the ~ 6 pb-1 of e+e- annihilation data taken at psi-prime(3686) with CLEO III and CLEO-c detectors with estimated ~ 3.0 million psi-prime events, we have searched for the h_c(1^1P_1) state of charmonium in the reaction psi-prime(3686) -> pi^{0} hc -> (gamma gamma) (gamma eta_c). The preliminary results are reported.

We have studied the $^3P_J$ ($\chi_c)$ states of charmonium in formation by antiproton-proton annihilations in experiment E835 at the Fermilab Antiproton Source. We report new measurements of the mass, width, and $B(\chi_{cJ} \to \bar{p} p) \times \Gamma(\chi_{cJ} \to J/\psi + anything)$ for the $\chi_{c1}$ and $\chi_{c2}$ by means of the inclusive reaction $\bar{p}p \to \chi_{cJ} \to J/\psi + anything \to (e^{+}e^{-}) +anything $. Using the subsample of events where $\chi_...

The recent results on Charmonium and Charmonium-like states at BESIII are reviewed, including the observation of $\rm Z_{cs}(3985)$ state, the study of the new decay modes of $\psi_2(3823)$ state, observation of resonance structure in $\rm e^+e^- \to \pi^+\pi^-\psi_2(3823)$ process, the study of the $\rm e^+e^- \to K^+K^-J/\psi$ process, cross section measurement of $\rm e^+e^- \to \omega\pi^0$ and $\omega\eta$ process, branching fraction measurement of $\psi(3686)\to\bar{\Si...

Using 586 pb$^{-1}$ of $e^+e^-$ annihilation data taken with the CLEO-c detector at $\sqrt{s}=4170$ MeV, the peak of the charmonium resonance $\psi(4160)$, we analyze the decay $\psi(4160)\to \pi^+\pi^- J/\psi$, and report observation of the charged state $Z_c^\pm(3900)$ decaying into $\pi^\pm J/\psi$ at a significance level of $>5 \sigma$. We obtain $M(Z_c^\pm)=3886\pm4(\text{stat})\pm 2(\text{syst})$ MeV and $\Gamma(Z_c^\pm)=37\pm4(\text{stat})\pm 8(\text{syst})$ MeV, which...

At CLEO, the charmonium singlet states eta_c(2 1S0) and h_c(1 1P1) have been firmly identified and a long standing discrepancy for Gamma_(gamma gamma)(chi_c2) has been resolved.

I discuss the nature of the new charm and charmonium like states observed in the last few years and measurements that can test these assignments. In particular it appears that the X(3943) is the eta_c''(3^1S_0) which can be tested by looking for it in gamma gamma to D\bar{D}^*, the Y(3943) is the chi_{c1}'(2^3P_1) which can be tested by looking for it in D\bar{D} and D\bar{D}^*, the Z(3930) is the chi_{c2}'(2^3P_2) which can be confirmed by looking for it in D\bar{D}^*. If th...
