We argue that the evidence for neutrino mass is quite compelling. This mass raises a number of questions, which we enumerate, about neutrinos. Then we focus on one of these questions---the issue of the possible neutrino mass spectra. In particular, we explain that one can have a four-neutrino spectrum which does not require significant sterile-neutrino involvement in either the atmospheric or solar neutrino oscillations.

A review of the problem of neutrino mass, mixing and oscillations is given. Possible phenomenological schemes of neutrino mixing are discussed. The most important consequences of neutrino mixing--neutrino oscillations are considered in some details. The data of atmospheric, solar and LSND experiments are discussed. The results of phenomenological analyses of the data under the assumption of the mixing of three and four massive neutrinos are shortly presented.

The present observational status of neutrino physics is sketched, with emphasis on the hints that follow from solar and atmospheric neutrino observations, as well as dark matter. I also briefly review the ways to account for the observed anomalies and some of their implications

In this review we present the main features of the current status of neutrino physics. After a review of the theory of neutrino mixing and oscillations, we discuss the current status of solar and atmospheric neutrino oscillation experiments. We show that the current data can be nicely accommodated in the framework of three-neutrino mixing. We discuss also the problem of the determination of the absolute neutrino mass scale through Tritium beta-decay experiments and astrophysi...

In this brief review, I discuss the new physics unveiled by neutrino oscillation experiments over the past several years, and discuss several attempts at understanding the mechanism behind neutrino masses and lepton mixing. It is fair to say that, while significant theoretical progress has been made, we are yet to construct a coherent picture that naturally explains non-zero, yet tiny, neutrino masses and the newly revealed, puzzling patterns of lepton mixing. I discuss what ...

A brief sketch is made of the present observational status of neutrino physics, with emphasis on the hints that follow from solar and atmospheric neutrino observations, as well as cosmological data on the amplitude of primordial density fluctuations. I also briefly review the ways to account for the observed anomalies and some of their implications.

This review is focused on neutrino mixing and neutrino oscillations in the light of the recent experimental developments. After discussing possible types of neutrino mixing for Dirac and Majorana neutrinos and considering in detail the phenomenology of neutrino oscillations in vacuum and matter, we review all existing evidence and indications in favour of neutrino oscillations that have been obtained in the atmospheric, solar and LSND experiments. We present the results of th...

This is a review article about the most recent developments on the field of neutrino mass. The first part of the review introduces the idea of neutrino masses and mixing angles, summarizes the most recent experimental data then discusses the experimental prospects and challenges in this area. The second part of the review discusses the implications of these results for particle physics and cosmology, including the origin of neutrino mass, the see-saw mechanism and sequential ...

The experimental and astrophysical status of neutrino masses is reviewed with an emphasis on the cosmologically interesting regime.

Among numerous theoretical ideas, approaches, mechanisms, models there are probably few elements which will eventually enter the true theory of neutrino masses and mixing. The task is to identify them. Still something conceptually important can be missed. The problems of construction of the theory are outlined. Perspectives and possible future developments are discussed.
