We study minimal 5-dimensional extensions of the Standard Model, in which all or only some of the SU(2)$_L$ and U(1)$_Y$ gauge fields and Higgs bosons propagate in the fifth compact dimension. We study production of Kaluza-Klein gluons (KKG) at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) in the framework of a warped extra dimension with the Standard Model (SM) fields propagating in the bulk. We show that the detection of KK gluon is challenging since its production is suppressed by small couplings to the proton's constituents. We report on recent constraints on models with a flat ``universal'' extra dimension in which all Standard Model fields propagate in the bulk. A significantly improved constraint on the compactification scale is obtained from the extended set of electroweak precision observables accurately measured at LEP1 and LEP2. We study the implications of extra dimensions of size $R\sim 1/TeV$ on electroweak and flavor physics due to the presence of Kaluza-Klein excitations of the SM gauge-bosons.
