We present a new leading and next-to-leading QCD analysis of the world data on inclusive polarized deep inelastic scattering. A new set of polarized parton densities is extracted from the data and the sensitivity of the results to the newly incorporated SLAC/E155 proton data is discussed.

We present a new next-to-leading order QCD analysis of the world data on inclusive polarized deep inelastic lepton-nucleon scattering adding to the old set of data the final SMC results, the HERMES proton and very recent SLAC/E155 deuteron data. We find an excellent fit to the data and present results for the polarized parton densities in different factorization schemes. These results are in a good agreement with what follows from the theory. We have also found that the main ...

We present a new NLO QCD analysis of the world data on inclusive polarized deep inelastic scattering. Comparing to our previous analysis: i) the values of g_A and a_8=3F-D are updated ii) the MRST'99 instead of the MRST'98 parametrization for the input unpolarized parton densities is used and iii) the recent SLAC E155 proton data on the spin asymmetry A1 are included in the analysis. A new set of polarized parton densities is extracted from the data and the sensitivity of the...

We present results on the quark and gluon polarization in the nucleon obtained in a combined next to leading order analysis to the available inclusive and semi-inclusive polarized deep inelastic scattering data.

We present a critical assessment of what can be learnt from the present data on inclusive polarized DIS. We examine critically some of the simplifying assumptions made in recent analyses and study in detail the question of the determination of the gluon, strange sea and valence quark polarized densities. We have also carried out a new NLO QCD analysis of the world data. We find an excellent fit to the data and present our results for the polarized parton densities.

We review the main results of next-to-leading order QCD analyses of polarized deep-inelastic scattering data, with special attention to the assessment of theoretical uncertainties.

A QCD analysis of the world data on inclusive polarized deep inelastic scattering of leptons on nucleons is presented in leading and next-to-leading order. New parameterizations are derived for the quark and gluon distributions and the value of $\alpha_s(M_Z)$ is determined. Emphasis is put on the derivation of fully correlated error bands for these distributions which are directly applicable to determine experimental errors of other polarized observables. The impact of the v...

We investigate the sea quark polarization in the nucleon by means of a combined next to leading order analysis to the recently enlarged set of inclusive and semi-inclusive polarized deep inelastic scattering data. Using the Lagrange multiplier method, we asses the uncertainty inherent to the extraction of the different spin dependent parton densities in a QCD global fit, and the impact of the increased set of semi-inclusive data now available. We comment on future prospects a...

We present a Next-to-Leading order perturbative QCD analysis of world data on the spin dependent structure functions $g_1^p, g_1^n$, and $g_1^d$, including the new experimental information on the $Q^2$ dependence of $g_1^n$. Careful attention is paid to the experimental and theoretical uncertainties. The data constrain the first moments of the polarized valence quark distributions, but only qualitatively constrain the polarized sea quark and gluon distributions. The NLO resul...

We present a combined next-to-leading order QCD analysis to data on both inclusive and semi-inclusive polarized deep inelastic scattering asymmetries. Performing NLO QCD global fits with different sets of observables, we evaluate the impact of the very recent semi-inclusive results presented by SMC in the extraction of NLO polarized parton distributions.

A survey is given on the present knowledge of the polarized parton distribution functions. We give an outlook for further developments desired both on the theoretical as well on the experimental side to complete the understanding of the spin--structure of nucleons in the future.
