The current status of the determination of the elements of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa quark-mixing matrix is reviewed. Tensions in the global fits are highlighted. Particular attention is paid to progress in, and prospects for, measurements of CP violation effects.

We update the analyses of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix, both within the Standard Model and for arbitrary New Physics contributions to the mixing amplitudes, using new inputs from the Winter 2006 conferences.

We report upon the present status of global fits to Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix.

A general discussion of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa (CKM) matrix is given and the importance stressed of determining the matrix elements as an essential part of understanding CP violation in and beyond the Standard Model. The status of knowledge of the matrix elements connecting the first and second generation quarks is reviewed. A perspective on determinations of the full CKM matrix is presented as an introduction to the separate contributions to the panel discussion that ...

The Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix is a key element to describe flavour dynamics in the Standard Model. With only four parameters, this matrix is able to describe a large range of phenomena in the quark sector, such as CP violation and rare decays. It can thus be constrained by many different processes, which have to be measured experimentally with a high accuracy and computed with a good theoretical control. With the advent of the B factories and the LHCb experiment taking...

Schemes for fermion masses should predict elements of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa (CKM) matrix. We review the freedom allowed by present experiments and how the parameter space will shrink in the next few years. In addition to experiments which directly affect CKM parameters, we discuss constraints arising from precise electroweak tests.

The sensitivity of determination of elements of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa (CKM) matrix to experimental inputs (particularly $|V_{cb}|$) is discussed and caution in assigning probable errors is urged.

Flavour mixing is described within the Standard Model by the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix elements. With the increasingly higher statistics collected by many experiments, the matrix elements are measured with improved precision, allowing for more stringent tests of the Standard Model. In this paper, a review of the current status of the absolute values of the CKM matrix elements is presented, with particular attention to the latest measurements.

This talk gives an introduction to the Standard Model Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix and methods to extract information on the parameters of the unitarity triangle from B decays.

I discuss the extraction of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa (CKM) matrix elements under the Standard Model (SM) framework from a global fit combining observables that satisfy the double requirement of being precisely known both experimentally and theoretically. The analysis shown here relies on the CKMfitter package, consisting of a frequentist approach that employs the Range fit (Rfit) scheme to handle theoretical uncertainties.
