Within the context of an effective potential formalism we calculate the contribution to Higgs boson masses in the next--to--minimal supersymmetric standard model from squark loops. We then supplement a previously performed renormalisation group analysis of the Higgs sector of this model with these results in order to determine the shift in the bound on the lightest CP-even Higgs boson mass as a result of squark effects. The improved bound on the lightest neutral CP-even Higgs...

Recently, it has been found that the tree-level CP invariance of the Higgs potential in the MSSM can be sizeably broken by loop effects due to soft-CP-violating trilinear interactions involving third generation scalar quarks. These soft-CP-violating couplings may be constrained by considering new two-loop contributions to the electron and neutron EDMs. The phenomenological consequences of such a minimal supersymmetric scenario of explicit CP violation at present and future co...

We study that a minimal supersymmetric standard model with an extra $U(1)'$ gauge symmetry may accommodate the explicit CP violation at the one-loop level through radiative corrections. This model is CP conserving at the tree level and cannot realize the spontaneous CP violation for a wide parameter space at the one-loop level. In explicit CP violation scenario, we calculate the Higgs boson masses and the magnitude of the scalar-pseudoscalar mixings in this model at the one-l...

The mass of the lightest CP-even Higgs boson of the minimal supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model (MSSM) has previously been computed including O(alpha alpha_s) two-loop contributions by an on-shell diagrammatic method, while approximate analytic results have also been obtained via renormalization-group-improved effective potential and effective field theory techniques. Initial comparisons of the corresponding two-loop results revealed an apparent discrepancy between...

Using an effective potential approach, we compute two-loop radiative corrections to the MSSM lightest ${\cal CP}$-even Higgs boson mass $M_{h^0}$ to ${\cal O}(\alpha_t^2)$ for arbitrary left-right top-squark mixing and $\tan\beta$. We find that these corrections can increase $M_{h^0}$ by as much as 5 GeV; assuming a SUSY scale of 1 TeV, the upper bound on the Higgs boson mass is $M_{h^0}\approx 129\pm 5$ GeV for the top quark pole mass $175\pm 5$ GeV. We also derive an analyt...

CP-violating effects in the Higgs sector of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model with complex parameters (cMSSM) are induced by potentially large higher-order corrections. As a consequence, all three neutral Higgs bosons can mix with each other. Recent results for loop corrections in the Higgs sector of the cMSSM are reviewed. Results for propagator-type corrections of O(alpha_t alpha_s) and complete one-loop results for Higgs cascade decays of the kind h_a -> h_b h_c ar...

The particle discovered in the Higgs boson searches at the LHC with a mass of about 125 GeV can be identified with one of the neutral Higgs bosons of the Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (NMSSM). We calculate predictions for the Higgs-boson masses in the NMSSM using the Feynman-diagrammatic approach. The predictions are based on the full NMSSM one-loop corrections supplemented with the dominant and sub-dominant two-loop corrections within the Minimal Supersymmetr...

Gluon fusion is the main production mechanism for Higgs bosons with masses up to several hundred GeV in $pp$ collisions at the CERN Large Hadron Collider. We investigate the effects of the CP-violating phases on the fusion process including both the sfermion-loop contributions and the one-loop induced CP-violating scalar-pseudoscalar mixing in the minimal supersymmetric standard model. With a universal trilinear parameter assumed, every physical observable involves only the s...

We compute the O(alpha_t alpha_s) two-loop corrections to the neutral Higgs boson masses in the Minimal Supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model. An appropriate use of the effective potential allows us to obtain simple analytical formulae, valid for arbitrary values of mA and of the mass parameters in the stop sector. We elucidate some subtleties of the effective potential calculation, and find full agreement with the numerical output of the existing diagrammatic calcul...

We derive analytic formulas for the radiatively corrected mass of the scalar Higgs boson in the framework of the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM). Since the scalar-top-quark mass in our analysis include terms proportional to the gauge couplings in the 1-loop effective potential, the radiatively corrected mass of the scalar Higgs boson partially contains the gauge boson contributions. At the 1-loop level, the upper bound on the lighter scalar Higgs boson mass can b...
