We discuss constraints on SUSY models with non-unified gaugino masses and R_P conservation. We derive a lower bound on the neutralino mass combining the direct limits from LEP, the indirect limits from gmuon, bsgamma, Bsmumu and the relic density constraint from WMAP. We discuss the lower limit on the mass of the neutralino $\chi$ that can be obtained by combining data from $e^+e^-$ annihilation at LEP and elsewhere with astrophysical and theoretical considerations. The constraints on neutralino dark matter \chi obtained from accelerator searches at LEP, the Fermilab Tevatron and elsewhere are reviewed, with particular emphasis on results from LEP 1.5. Unlike its minimal counterpart, the Next to Minimal supersymmetric Standard Model (NMSSM) allows the possibility that the lightest neutralino could have a mass as small as $\sim 1 {\rm GeV}$ while still providing a significant component of relic dark matter (DM). We consider the neutralino sector in the Minimal Non--minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MNSSM). We argue that there exists a theoretical upper bound on the lightest neutralino mass in the MNSSM. An approximate solution for the mass of the lightest neutralino is obtained.
