The experimental discovery that neutrinos almost certainly have masses and mix raises a number of fundamental questions about the neutrinos. We discuss what is presently known about the answers to these questions, and how we can learn more.

The review consists of two parts. In the first part the critical points in the past, present and future of neutrino physics (nuclear, particle and astroparticle) are reviewed. In the second part the contributions of Yugoslav physics to the physics of the neutrino are commented upon. The review is meant as a first reading for the newcomers to the field of neutrino physics.

We present a review of the present status of the problem of neutrino masses and mixing including a survey of theoretical motivations and models, experimental searches and implications of recently appeared solar and atmospheric neutrino data, which strongly indicate nonzero neutrino masses and mixing angles.

I review a number of the open questions about neutrino properties, critique recent hints of neutrino mass, and discuss one recently proposed neutrino mass matrix to illustrate the direction in which we may be headed. I also present one example of the implications of these new developments for astrophysics.

We present a short review of the present status of the problem of neutrino masses and mixing including a survey of theoretical motivations and models, experimental searches and implications of recently appeared solar and atmospheric neutrino data, which strongly indicate nonzero neutrino masses. Such data apparently requires the existence of light sterile neutrino in addition to the three active ones and two-generation nearly maximal mixing.

The Standard Model has been incredibly successful in predicting the outcome of almost all the experiments done up so far. In it, neutrinos are mass-less. However, in recent years we have accumulated evidence pointing to tiny masses for the neutrinos (as compared to the charged leptons). These masses allow neutrinos to change their flavour and oscillate. In these lectures I review the properties of neutrinos in and beyond the Standard Model.

This talk is a brief overview of the present status of neutrino mass physics.

During 2004, four divisions of the American Physical Society commissioned a study of neutrino physics to take stock of where the field is at the moment and where it is going in the near and far future. Several working groups looked at various aspects of this vast field. The summary was published as a main report entitled ``The Neutrino Matrix'' accompanied by short 50 page versions of the report of each working group. Theoretical research in this field has been quite extensiv...

A brief review of the problem of neutrino masses and oscillations is given. In the beginning we present an early history of neutrino masses, mixing and oscillations. Then we discuss all possibilities of neutrino masses and mixing (neutrino mass terms). The phenomenology of neutrino oscillations in vacuum is considered in some details. We present also the neutrino oscillation data and the seesaw mechanism of the neutrino mass generation.

In this talk I present my personal summary of the progress on the determination of the masses of the neutrinos and of the leptonic flavour mixing from the combined analysis of the experimental results.
