We study exact correlation functions of N=4 SYM at zero coupling. It has been known that it is convenient to label local gauge invariant operators by irreducible representations of symmetric groups/Brauer algebras. We first review the construction of representation bases from the viewpoint of the enhanced symmetry structure of the free theory. We present a basis of multi-matrix models using elements of Brauer algebras, generalising our previous construction for two matrices. ...

The four point functions of chiral primary BPS operators in ${\cal N}=4$ superconformal Yang Mills are expressed in a form manifestly satisfying the superconformal Ward identities. They are subsequently expanded in terms of conformal partial waves. Correlation functions of two pairs of identical chiral primaries, one pair having the lowest possible scale dimension, are considered. Crossing symmetries determine their free field value up to numeric constants. The contributions ...

We discuss recent progress in the determination of correlators of chiral primary operators in N=4 Super-Yang-Mills theory, based on a combination of superconformal covariance arguments in N=2 harmonic superspace, and Intriligator's insertion formula. Applying this technique to the calculation of the supercurrent four - point function we obtain a compact and explicit result for its three-loop contribution with comparatively little effort.

Correlation functions of 1/4 BPS Wilson loops with the infinite family of 1/2 BPS chiral primary operators are computed in $\mathcal{N}=4$ super Yang-Mills theory by summing planar ladder diagrams. Leading loop corrections to the sum are shown to vanish. The correlation functions are also computed in the strong-coupling limit by examining the supergravity dual of the loop-loop correlator. The strong coupling result is found to agree with the extrapolation of the planar ladder...

We study the three-point functions between two BPS and one non-BPS local gauge invariant operators in N=4 Super Yang-Mills theory. In particular we show, in explicit 1-loop examples, that the operator mixing discussed in arXiv:0810.0499 plays an important role in the computations of the correlators and is necessary to cancel contributions that would violate the constraints following from the superconformal and the bonus U(1)_Y symmetries. We analyse the same type of correlato...

The calculation of a large family of four point functions of general BPS operators in N=4 SYM is reduced to the evaluation of colour contractions. For 1/2 BPS operators O_\Delta the explicit results at order g^4 for the function < O_n O_2 O_n O_2 > are given up to n=6. The OPE of the general result is performed up to the second order in the short distance expansion parameter. Two examples are given, in which the mixing of the operators in the intermediate channel can be resol...

We show which multi-trace structures are compatible with the symmetrisation of local operators in \cN=4 super Yang-Mills when they are organised into representations of the global symmetry group. Cut-and-join operators give the non-planar expansion of correlation functions of these operators in the free theory. Using these techniques we find the 1/N corrections to the quarter-BPS operators which remain protected at weak coupling. We also present a new way of counting these ch...

In this note we prove a non-renormalization theorem for the 3-point functions of 1/2 BPS primaries in the four-dimensional N = 4 SYM and chiral primaries in two dimensional N =(4,4) SCFTs. Our proof is rather elementary: it is based on Ward identities and the structure of the short multiplets of the superconformal algebra and it does not rely on superspace techniques. We also discuss some possible generalizations to less supersymmetric multiplets.

Extending the methods developed in our previous works (arXiv:1110.3949, arXiv:1205.6060), we compute the three-point functions at strong coupling of the non-BPS states with large quantum numbers corresponding to the composite operators belonging to the so-called SU(2) sector in the $\mathcal{N}=4$ super-Yang-Mills theory in four dimensions. This is achieved by the semi-classical evaluation of the three-point functions in the dual string theory in the $AdS_3 \times S^3$ spacet...

We compute two-point functions of chiral operators Tr \Phi^3 in {\cal N}=4 SU(N) supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory to the order g^4 in perturbation theory. We perform explicit calculations using {\cal N}=1 superspace techniques and find that perturbative corrections to the correlators vanish for all N. While at order g^2 the cancellations can be ascribed to the nonrenormalization theorem valid for correlators of operators in the same multiplet as the stress tensor, at order g^...
