We analyze wavefunctions of the six-vertex model by extending the Izergin-Korepin analysis on the domain wall boundary partition functions. We particularly focus on the case with triangular boundary. By using the $U_q(sl_2)$ $R$-matrix and a special class of the triangular $K$-matrix, we first introduce an analogue of the wavefunctions of the integrable six-vertex model with triangular boundary. We first give a characterization of the wavefunctions by extending our recent wor...

We introduce and study a new mathematical structure in the generalised (quantum) cohomology theory for Grassmannians. Namely, we relate the Schubert calculus to a quantum integrable system known in the physics literature as the asymmetric six-vertex model. Our approach offers a new perspective on already established and well-studied special cases, for example equivariant K-theory, and in addition allows us to formulate a conjecture on the so-far unknown case of quantum equiva...

The analysis of the transfer matrices associated to the most general representations of the 8-vertex reflection algebra on spin-1/2 chains is here implemented by introducing a quantum separation of variables (SOV) method which generalizes to these integrable quantum models the method first introduced by Sklyanin. More in detail, for the representations reproducing in their homogeneous limits the open XYZ spin-1/2 quantum chains with the most general integrable boundary condit...

We review the main result of cond-mat/0503564. The Hamiltonian of the XXZ spin chain and the transfer matrix of the six-vertex model has the $sl_2$ loop algebra symmetry if the $q$ parameter is given by a root of unity, $q_0^{2N}=1$, for an integer $N$. We discuss the dimensions of the degenerate eigenspace generated by a regular Bethe state in some sectors, rigorously as follows: We show that every regular Bethe ansatz eigenvector in the sectors is a highest weight vector an...

We connect two alternative concepts of solving integrable models, Baxter's method of auxiliary matrices (or Q-operators) and the algebraic Bethe ansatz. The main steps of the calculation are performed in a general setting and a formula for the Bethe eigenvalues of the Q-operator is derived. A proof is given for states which contain up to three Bethe roots. Further evidence is provided by relating the findings to the six-vertex fusion hierarchy. For the XXZ spin-chain we analy...

Quantum vertex algebra theory, developed by H.-S. Li, allows us to apply zeroth products of Frenkel-Jing operators, corresponding to Drinfeld realization of $U_q (\widehat{\mathfrak{sl}}_{n+1})$, on the extension of Koyama vertex operators. As a result, we obtain an infinite-dimensional space and describe its structure as a module for the associative algebra $U_q (\mathfrak{sl}_{n+1})_z$, a certain quantum analogue of $U(\mathfrak{sl}_{n+1})$ which we introduce in this paper.

We provide two methods of producing the $Q$-operator of XXZ spin chain of higher spin, one for $N$th root-of-unity $q$ with odd $N$ and another for a general $q$, as the generalization of those known in the six-vertex model. In the root-of-unity case, we discuss the functional relations involving the constructed $Q$-operator for the symmetry study of the theory. The $Q$-operator of XXZ chain of higher spin for a generic $q$ is constructed by extending Baxter's argument in spi...

Baxter's TQ-equation is solved for the six-vertex model using the representation theory of quantum groups at roots of unity. A novel simplified construction of the Q-operator is given depending on a new free parameter. Specializing this general construction to even roots of unity and lattices with an odd number of columns two linearly independent operator solutions of Baxter's TQ equation are obtained as special limits.

We describe the twisted affine superalgebra $sl(2|2)^{(2)}$ and its quantized version $U_q[sl(2|2)^{(2)}]$. We investigate the tensor product representation of the 4-dimensional grade star representation for the fixed point subsuperalgebra $U_q[osp(2|2)]$. We work out the tensor product decomposition explicitly and find the decomposition is not completely reducible. Associated with this 4-dimensional grade star representation we derive two $U_q[osp(2|2)]$ invariant R-matrices...

The integrable quantum models, associated to the transfer matrices of the 6-vertex reflection algebra for spin 1/2 representations, are studied in this paper. In the framework of Sklyanin's quantum separation of variables (SOV), we provide the complete characterization of the eigenvalues and eigenstates of the transfer matrix and the proof of the simplicity of the transfer matrix spectrum. Moreover, we use these integrable quantum models as further key examples for which to d...
