The $SU(2,2)$-harmonic oscillator on the phase space ${\cal A}(2,2)= {SU(2,2)}/{S(U(2)\times U(2))}$ is quantized using the coherent states. The quantum Hamiltonian is the Toeplitz operator corresponding to the square of the distance with respect to the $SU(2,2)$-invariant K\"ahler metric on the phase space. Its spectrum, depending on the choice of representation of $SU(2,2)$, is computed.

Analytical expressions are given for the eigenvalues and eigenvectors of a Hamiltonian with su_q(2) dynamical symmetry. The relevance of such an operator in Quantum Optics is discussed. As an application, the ground state energy in the Dicke model is studied through su_q(2) perturbation theory.

In this paper we introduce a new method for constructing coherent states for 2D harmonic oscillators. In particular, we focus on both the isotropic and commensurate anisotropic instances of the 2D harmonic oscillator. We define a new set of ladder operators for the 2D system as a linear combination of the x and y ladder operators and construct the $SU(2)$ coherent states, where these are then used as the basis of expansion for Schr\"odinger-type coherent states of the 2D osci...

We study the Dunkl oscillator in two dimensions by the $su(1,1)$ algebraic method. We apply the Schr\"odinger factorization to the radial Hamiltonian of the Dunkl oscillator to find the $su(1,1)$ Lie algebra generators. The energy spectrum is found by using the theory of unitary irreducible representations. By solving analytically the Schr\"odinger equation, we construct the Sturmian basis for the unitary irreducible representations of the $su(1,1)$ Lie algebra. We construct ...

Coherent states path integral formalism for the simplest quantum algebras, q-oscillator, SU_q(2) and SU_q(1,1) is introduced. In the classical limit canonical structure is derived with modified symplectic and Riemannian metric. Non-constant deformation induced curvature for the phase spaces is obtained.

The Hilbert-Schmidt operator formulation of non-commutative quantum mechanics in 2D Moyal plane is shown to allow one to construct Schwinger's SU(2) generators. Using this the SU(2) symmetry aspect of both commutative and non-commutative harmonic oscillator are studied and compared. Particularly, in the non-commutative case we demonstrate the existence of a critical point in the parameter space of mass and angular frequency where there is a manifest SU(2) symmetry for a unphy...

It is shown that each one of the Lie algebras su(1,1) and su(2) determine the spectrum of the radial oscillator. States that share the same orbital angular momentum are used to construct the representation spaces of the non-compact Lie group SU(1,1). In addition, three different forms of obtaining the representation spaces of the compact Lie group SU(2) are introduced, they are based on the accidental degeneracies associated with the spherical symmetry of the system as well a...

The symmetry algebra of the two-dimensional quantum harmonic oscillator with rational ratio of frequencies is identified as a non-linear extension of the u(2) algebra. The finite dimensional representation modules of this algebra are studied and the energy eigenvalues are determined using algebraic methods of general applicability to quantum superintegrable systems.

We demonstrate a formally exact quantum-classical correspondence between the stationary coherent states associated with the commensurate anisotropic two-dimensional harmonic oscillator and the classical Lissajous orbits. Our derivation draws upon earlier work of Louck et al [1973 \textit {J. Math. Phys.} \textbf {14} 692] wherein they have provided a non-bijective canonical transformation that maps, within a degenerate eigenspace, the commensurate anisotropic oscillator on to...

For a time-dependent harmonic oscillator with an inverse squared singular term, we find the generalized invariant using the Lie algebra of $SU(2)$ and construct the number-type eigenstates and the coherent states using the spectrum-generating Lie algebra of $SU(1,1)$. We obtain the evolution operator in both of the Lie algebras. The number-type eigenstates and the coherent states are constructed group-theoretically for both the time-independent and the time-dependent harmonic...

Quantum mechanics of models is considered which are constructed in spaces with Lie algebra type commutation relations between spatial coordinates. The case is specialized to that of the group SU(2), for which the formulation of the problem via the Euler parameterization is also presented. SU(2)-invariant systems are discussed, and the corresponding eigenvalue problem for the Hamiltonian is reduced to an ordinary differential equation, as it is the case with such models on com...
