In this paper we study conditions for the vanishing of Abelian integrals on families of zero-dimensional cycles. That is, for any rational function $f(z)$, characterize all rational functions $g(z)$ and zero-sum integers $\{n_i\}$ such that the function $t\mapsto\sum n_ig(z_i(t))$ vanishes identically. Here $z_i(t)$ are continuously depending roots of $f(z)-t$. We introduce a notion of (un)balanced cycles. Our main result is an inductive solution of the problem of vanishing o...

Let $\zeta_K(s)$ denote the Dedekind zeta-function associated to a number field $K$. In this paper, we give an effective upper bound for the height of first non-trivial zero other than $1/2$ of $\zeta_K(s)$ under the generalized Riemann hypothesis. This is a refinement of the earlier bound obtained by Omar Sami.

In this note, we provide a wide range of upper bounds for the moduli of the zeros of a complex polynomial. The obtained bounds complete a series of previous papers on the location of zeros of polynomials.

In this short note, we establish a standard zero-free region for a general class of $L$-functions for which their logarithms have coefficients with nonnegative real parts, which includes the Rankin--Selberg $L$-functions for unitary cuspidal automorphic representations.

This paper describes a method to compute lower bounds for moments of $\zeta$ and $L$-functions. The method is illustrated in the case of moments of $|\zeta(\frac 12+it)|$, where the results are new for small moments $0< k<1$.

Assuming the Riemann Hypothesis, we prove that $$ N_1(T) = \frac{T}{2\pi}\log \frac{T}{4\pi e} + O\bigg(\frac{\log T}{\log\log T}\bigg), $$ where $N_1(T)$ is the number of zeros of $\zeta'(s)$ in the region $0<\Im s\le T$.

In the paper, we study the asymptotic distribution of real algebraic integers of fixed degree as their naive height tends to infinity. Let $I \subset \mathbb{R}$ be an arbitrary bounded interval, and $Q$ be a sufficiently large number. We obtain an asymptotic formula for the count of algebraic integers $\alpha$ of fixed degree $n$ and naive height $H(\alpha)\le Q$ lying in $I$. In this formula, we estimate the order of the error term from above and below. We show that algebra...

The aim of this paper is to improve the upper bound for the exceptional zeroes $\beta_0$ of Dirichlet $L$-functions. We do this by improving on explicit estimate for $L'(\sigma, \chi)$ for $\sigma$ close to unity.

Abstract. In this work we derive a sufficient condition to ensure certain genus 0 entire function that can have only negative zeros. We also apply this result to the Riemann hypothesis and generalized Riemann hypothesis for some primitive Dirichlet character.
