In this paper we start the program of constructing generalized special Lagrangian torus fibrations for Calabi-Yau hypersurfaces in toric variety near the large complex limit, with respect to the restriction of a toric metric on the toric variety to the Calabi-Yau hypersurface. The construction is based on the deformation of the standard toric generalized special Lagrangian torus fibration of the large complex limit $X_0$. In this paper, we will deal with the region near the s...

There are easy "polynomial" deformations of Calabi-Yau hypersurfaces in toric varieties performed by changing the coefficients of the defining polynomial of the hypersurface. In this paper, we explicitly constructed the ``non-polynomial'' deformations of Calabi-Yau hypersurfaces, which arise from deformations of the ambient toric variety.

We conduct a systematic search of codimension 2 Complete Intersection Calabi--Yau threefolds (CICY3) in rank 2 toric ambient spaces and fibered by complete intersection of a quadric and a cubic in $\C\P^4$. We classify both the nonsingular ones as well as those with isolated singularities.

In this article we present a pheno-inspired classification for the divisor topologies of the favorable Calabi Yau (CY) threefolds with $1 \leq h^{1,1}(CY) \leq 5$ arising from the four-dimensional reflexive polytopes of the Kreuzer-Skarke database. Based on some empirical observations we conjecture that the topologies of the so-called coordinate divisors can be classified into two categories: (i). $\chi_{_h}(D) \geq 1$ with Hodge numbers given by $\{h^{0,0} = 1, \, h^{1,0} = ...

In this paper we construct all smooth torus fibres of the generalized special Lagrangian torus fibrations for Calabi-Yau hypersurfaces in toric varieties near the large complex limit.

We present a list of Calabi-Yau threefolds known to us, and with holonomy groups that are precisely SU(3), rather than a subgroup, with small Hodge numbers, which we understand to be those manifolds with height $(h^{1,1}+h^{2,1})\le 24$. With the completion of a project to compute the Hodge numbers of free quotients of complete intersection Calabi-Yau threefolds, most of which were computed in Refs. [1-3] and the remainder in Ref. [4], many new points have been added to the t...

It has been shown by Batyrev and Borisov that nef partitions of reflexive polyhedra can be used to construct mirror pairs of complete intersection Calabi--Yau manifolds in toric ambient spaces. We construct a number of such spaces and compute their cohomological data. We also discuss the relation of our results to complete intersections in weighted projective spaces and try to recover them as special cases of the toric construction. As compared to hypersurfaces, codimension t...

We present a general method for computing Hodge numbers for Calabi-Yau manifolds realised as discrete quotients of complete intersections in products of projective spaces. The method relies on the computation of equivariant cohomologies and is illustrated for several explicit examples. In this way, we compute the Hodge numbers for all discrete quotients obtained in Braun's classification arXiv:1003.3235.

Generalizing the notions of reflexive polytopes and nef-partitions of Batyrev and Borisov, we propose a mirror symmetry construction for Calabi-Yau complete intersections in Fano toric varieties.

We establish a global Torelli theorem for the complete family of Calabi-Yau threefolds arising from cyclic triple covers of $\mathbb P^3$ branched along stable hyperplane arrangements.
