Under suitable hypotheses we establish a quantitative pointwise ergodic theorem which applies to trimmed Birkhoff sums of weakly integrable functions.

We prove a version of pointwise Ergodic Theorem for non-stationary random dynamical systems. Also, we discuss two specific examples where the result is applicable: non-stationary iterated function systems and non-stationary random matrix products.

We apply the methods of ergodic theory to both simplify and significantly extend some classical results due to Stewart, Tijdeman, and Ruzsa. One of the novel features of our approach is the utilization of pointwise ergodic theory.

We establish an Ergodic Theorem for lower probabilities, a generalization of standard probabilities widely used in applications. As a by-product, we provide a version for lower probabilities of the Strong Law of Large Numbers.

We bring into account a series of result in the infinite ergodic theory that we believe that they are relevant to the theory of non-extensive entropies

We give a streamlined proof of the multiplicative ergodic theorem for quasi-compact operators on Banach spaces with a separable dual.

The Oseledets Multiplicative Ergodic theorem is a basic result with numerous applications throughout dynamical systems. These notes provide an introduction to this theorem, as well as subsequent generalizations. They are based on lectures at summer schools in Brazil, France, and Russia.

We consider several fundamental properties of grand variable exponent Lebesgue spaces. Moreover, we discuss Ergodic theorems in these spaces whenever the exponent is invariant under the transformation.

Lecture notes of a course at the Brazilian Mathematical Colloquium. We review some basic notions in ergodic theory and thermodynamic formalism, as well as introductory results in the context of max-plus algebra, in order to exhibit some properties of equilibrium measures when temperature goes to zero.

We analyse the Transfer Principle, which is used to generate weak type maximal inequalities for ergodic operators, and extend it to the general case of $\sigma$-compact locally compact Hausdorff groups acting measure-preservingly on $\sigma$-finite measure spaces. We show how the techniques developed here generate various weak type maximal inequalities on different Banach function spaces, and how the properties of these function spaces influence the weak type inequalities tha...
