Using simple physical reasoning we have estimated the wavelengths and line-widths of spectral lines arising from the decays of massive neutrinos. We have, also, to some extent, discussed the possible consequences of these decays in observable astrophysical settings. We have compared our conclusions with the predictions of the decaying dark matter (DDM) model and cold + hot dark matter (${\rm C\nu ^2DM}$) model.

In a recent paper I concluded that the neutrino background is important for calculating neutrino flavor evolution in supernovae, and including it weakens the connection between r-process nucleosynthesis and cosmologically relevant neutrino masses. We would like to comment on a recent paper by Sturrock et al. [1] in which the authors analyze decay data acquired by an ionization chamber in our institute. They interpret the variations in the data as solar-driven changes in the decay rates of the radionuclides under study. In brief we would like to discuss and elucidate the properties and the origin of the data used by the authors and explain why these data are not a sound basis for claiming evidence for new physics.

In answering the difficult questions on neutrinos asked by Sphinx I argue that search for proton decay is the most important experiment in coming 5-10 years. I also emphasize the crucial importance of the neutrinoless double beta decay with sensitivity of <m_{\nu e}> \sim 0.01 eV level as the unique feasible way of directly detecting neutrinos of atmospheric mass scale in laboratories.
