We report the explicit solution for the vacuum state of the two-dimensional $SU(N)$ Principal Chiral Model at large-$N$ for an arbitrary set of chemical potentials and any interaction strength, a unique result of such kind for an asymptotically free QFT. The solution matches one-loop perturbative calculation at weak coupling, and in the opposite strong-coupling regime exhibits an emergent spacial dimension from the continuum limit of the $SU(N)$ Dynkin diagram.

The symmetries and dynamics of simple chiral $SU(N)$ gauge theories, with matter Weyl fermions in a two-index symmetric tensor and $N+4$ anti-fundamental representations, are examined, by taking advantage of the recent developments involving the ideas of generalized symmetries, gauging of discrete center 1-form symmetries and mixed 't Hooft anomalies. This class of models are particularly interesting because the conventional 't Hooft anomaly matching constraints allow a chira...

Recently we have proposed a set of variables for describing the infrared limit of four dimensional SU(2) Yang-Mills theory. here we extend these variables to the general case of four dimensional SU(N) Yang-Mills theory. We find that the SU(N) connection A decomposes according to irreducible representations of SO(N-1) and the curvature two-form F is related to the symplectic Kirillov two forms that characterize irreducible representations of SU(N). We propose a general class o...

In this letter we establish Yangian symmetry of planar N=4 super-Yang-Mills theory. We prove that the classical equations of motion of the model close onto themselves under the action of Yangian generators. Moreover we propose an off-shell extension of our statement which is equivalent to the invariance of the action and prove that it is exactly satisfied. We assert that our relationship serves as a criterion for integrability in planar gauge theories by explicitly checking t...

We analyze dynamics of chiral gauge theories based on the $SU(N)$ gauge group with one anti-symmetric tensor $A$ and $(N-4)$ anti-fundamentals $F_{i}$ when $N$ is odd. Based on the continuity to the supersymmetric gauge theories with anomaly-mediated supersymmetry breaking, we claim that the global $SU(N-4)$ symmetry is spontaneously broken to $Sp(N-5)$. There are $N-5$ massless fermions as a fundamental representation of $Sp(N-5)$, and another massless fermion, together satu...

We study supersymmetric $SU(N-4)$ gauge theories with a symmetric tensor and $N$ antifundamental representations. The theory with $W=0$ has a dual description in terms of a non-chiral $Spin(8)$ theory with one spinor and $N$ vectors. This duality flows to the $SO(N)$ duality of Seiberg and to a duality proposed by one of us. It also flows to dualities for a number of $Spin(m)$ theories, $m\le 8$. For $N=6$, when an ${\cal N}=2$ SUSY superpotential is added, the singularities ...

We study the dynamics of chiral SU(N) gauge theories. These contain Weyl fermions in the symmetric or anti-symmetric representation of the gauge group, together with further fermions in the fundamental and anti-fundamental. We revisit an old proposal of Bars and Yankielowicz who match the 't Hooft anomalies of this theory to free fermions. We show that there are novel and, in some cases, quite powerful constraints on the dynamics in the large N limit. In addition, we study ...

We study the N=1 supersymmetric SU(N) Yang-Mills theory on the lattice at strong coupling. We analyse and discuss the recent results obtained at strong coupling and large N for the mesonic and fermionic propagators and spectrum.

Some time ago, Seiberg and Witten solved for moduli spaces of vacua parameterized by scalar vacuum expectation values in $\mathcal{N}=2$ gauge theories. More recently, new vacua associated to soft theorems and asymptotic symmetries have been found. This paper takes some first steps towards a complete picture of the infrared geometry of $\mathcal{N}=2$ gauge theory incorporating both of these infrared structures.

We present a non-geometric derivation of $\mathcal{N}$=1 Super Yang-Mills by focusing on the consistency of interactions that extend the free vector supermultiplet rather than assuming gauge invariance under extended symmetries. By utilizing a superspace first-order description, the theory is given in closed form as a third-order polynomial which includes a single cubic interaction term instead of an infinite series, thus eliminating the need for a special gauge. The geometri...
