The full momentum dependence of spectrum of a point-like impurity immersed in a dilute one-dimensional Bose gas is calculated on the mean-field level. In particular we elaborate, to the finite-momentum Bose polaron, the path-integral approach whose semi-classical approximation leads to the conventional mean-field treatment of the problem while quantum corrections can be easily accounted by standard loop expansion techniques. The extracted low-energy parameters of impurity spe...

We consider a one-dimensional gas of spin-1/2 fermions interacting through $\delta$-function repulsive potential of an arbitrary strength. For the case of all fermions but one having spin up, we calculate time-dependent two-point correlation function of the spin-down fermion. This impurity Green's function is represented in the thermodynamic limit as an integral of Fredholm determinants of integrable linear integral operators.

We determine some exact static and time-dependent properties of the fermionic Tonks-Girardeau (FTG) gas, a spin-aligned one-dimensional Fermi gas with infinitely strongly attractive zero-range odd-wave interactions. We show that the two-particle reduced density matrix exhibits maximal off-diagonal long-range order, and on a ring an FTG gas with an even number of atoms has a highly degenerate ground state with quantization of Coriolis rotational flux and high sensitivity to ro...

Dynamical fermionization refers to the phenomenon in Tonks-Girardeau (TG) gases where, upon release from harmonic confinement, the gas's momentum density profile evolves asymptotically to that of an ideal Fermi gas in the initial trap. This phenomenon has been demonstrated theoretically in hardcore and anyonic TG gases, and recently experimentally observed in a strongly interacting Bose gas. We extend this study to a one dimensional (1D) spinor gas of arbitrary spin in the st...

The distribution function of the free energy fluctuations in one-dimensional directed polymers with $\delta$-correlated random potential is studied by mapping the replicated problem to the $N$-particle quantum boson system with attractive interactions. We find the full set of eigenfunctions and eigenvalues of this many-body system and perform the summation over the entire spectrum of excited states. It is shown that in the thermodynamic limit the problem is reduced to the Fre...

We prove that the ground state momentum distribution of a one-dimensional system of impenetrable bosons exhibits a $k^{-4}$ tail for any confining potential. We also derive an expression for easily computing the asymptotic occupation numbers and verify our results with an exact numerical approach.

The low-lying eigenstates of a one-dimensional (1D) system of many impenetrable point bosons and one moving impurity particle with repulsive zero-range impurity-boson interaction are found for all values of the impurity-boson mass ratio and coupling constant. The moving entity is a polaron-like composite object consisting of the impurity clothed by a co-moving gray soliton. The special case with impurity-boson interaction of point hard-core form and impurity-boson mass ratio ...

Possible signatures of a super-Tonks-Girardeau gas in bosonic systems of trapped quasi-one-dimensional dipoles are discussed at zero temperature. We provide estimation of the frequency of the lowest compressional mode and compare it to analytical results derived using harmonic approach in the high density regime. We construct an exact mapping of the ground-state wave function of one-dimensional dipolar system of bosons, fermions and Bose-Fermi mixture and conclude that local ...

In the present paper we investigate the ground state of Tonks-Girardeau gas under density-dependent gauge potential. With Bose-Fermi mapping method we obtain the exact ground state wavefunction for the system confined in a harmonic potential. Based on the ground state wavefunction, the reduced one body density matrix (ROBDM), natural orbitals and their occupations, and the momentum distributions are obtained. Compared with the case without gauge potential, the present wavefun...

Using exact Bethe ansatz (BA) solutions, we show that a spin-down fermion immersed into a fully polarized spin-up Fermi sea with a weak attraction is dressed by the surrounding spin-up fermions to form the one-dimensional analog of a polaron. As the attraction becomes strong, the spin-down fermion binds with one spin-up fermion to form a tightly bound molecule. Throughout the whole interaction regime, a crossover from the polaron to a molecule state is fully demonstrated thro...
