We introduce a class of non-commutative algebras that carry a non-commutative (geometric) cluster structure which are generated by identical copies of generalized Weyl algebras. Equivalent conditions for the finiteness of the set of the cluster variables of these cluster structures are provided. Some combinatorial data, called \textit{cluster strands,} arising from the cluster structure are used to construct irreducible representations of generalized Weyl algebras.

Our motivation is to build a systematic method in order to investigate the structure of cluster algebras of geometric type. The method is given through the notion of mixing-type sub-seeds, the theory of seed homomorphisms and the view-point of gluing of seeds. As an application, for (rooted) cluster algebras, we completely classify rooted cluster subalgebras and characterize rooted cluster quotient algebras in detail. Also, we build the relationship between the categorifica...

Cluster algebras have recently become an important player in mathematics and physics. In this work, we investigate them through the lens of modern data science, specifically with techniques from network science and machine-learning. Network analysis methods are applied to the exchange graphs for cluster algebras of varying mutation types. The analysis indicates that when the graphs are represented without identifying by permutation equivalence between clusters an elegant symm...

We introduce a category of cluster algebras with fixed initial seeds. This category has countable coproducts, which can be constructed combinatorially, but no products. We characterise isomorphisms and monomorphisms in this category and provide combinatorial methods for constructing special classes of monomorphisms and epimorphisms. In the case of cluster algebras from surfaces, we describe interactions between this category and the geometry of the surfaces.

We develop a general approach to finding combinatorial models for cluster algebras. The approach is to construct a labeled graph called a framework. When a framework is constructed with certain properties, the result is a model incorporating information about exchange matrices, principal coefficients, g-vectors, and g-vector fans. The idea behind frameworks arises from Cambrian combinatorics and sortable elements, and in this paper, we use sortable elements to construct a fra...

This paper continues the study of cluster algebras initiated in math.RT/0104151. Its main result is the complete classification of the cluster algebras of finite type, i.e., those with finitely many clusters. This classification turns out to be identical to the Cartan-Killing classification of semisimple Lie algebras and finite root systems, which is intriguing since in most cases, the symmetry exhibited by the Cartan-Killing type of a cluster algebra is not at all apparent f...

We mainly introduce an abstract pattern to study cluster algebras. Cluster algebras, generalized cluster algebras and Laurent phenomenon algebras are unified in the language of generalized Laurent phenomenon algebras (briefly, GLP algebras) from the perspective of Laurent phenomenon. In this general framework, we firstly prove that each positive and d-vector-positive GLP algebra has the proper Laurent monomial property and thus its cluster monomials are linearly independent...

This paper studies cluster algebras locally, by identifying a special class of localizations which are themselves cluster algebras. A `locally acyclic cluster algebra' is a cluster algebra which admits a finite cover (in a geometric sense) by acyclic cluster algebras. Many important results about acyclic cluster algebras extend to local acyclic cluster algebras (such as finite generation, integrally closure, and equaling their upper cluster algebra), as well as results which ...

The article gives a ring theoretic perspective on cluster algebras. Gei{\ss}-Leclerc-Schr\"oer prove that all cluster variables in a cluster algebra are irreducible elements. Furthermore, they provide two necessary conditions for a cluster algebra to be a unique factorization domain, namely the irreducibility and the coprimality of the initial exchange polynomials. We present a sufficient condition for a cluster algebra to be a unique factorization domain in terms of primar...
