In this paper we have implemented quantum corrections for the Schwarzschild black hole metric using the generalized uncertainty principle (GUP) in order to investigate the scattering process. We mainly compute, at the low energy limit, the differential scattering and absorption cross section by using the partial wave method. We determine the phase shift analytically and verify that these quantities are modified by the GUP. We found that due to the quantum corrections from the GUP the absorption is not zero as the mass parameter goes to zero. A numerical analysis has also been performed for arbitrary frequencies.

In this paper, we consider the Schwarzschild-Tangherlini black hole to investigate the process of scalar wave scattering by the black hole in a spacetime of (d + 1) dimensions and also with the generalized uncertainty principle (GUP). In this scenario, we analytically determine the phase shift and explore the effect of extra dimensions by calculating the differential scattering and absorption cross-section by applying the partial wave method at low and high-frequency limits. ...

In this paper we study the effects of the Generalized Uncertainty Principle (GUP) on canonical quantum gravity of black holes. Through the use of modified partition function that involves the effects of the GUP, we obtain the thermodynamical properties of the Schwarzschild black hole. We also calculate the Hawking temperature and entropy for the modification of the Schwarzschild black hole in the presence of the GUP.

We consider quantum corrections for the Schwarzschild black hole metric by using the generalized uncertainty principle (GUP) to investigate quasinormal modes, shadow and their relationship in the eikonal limit. We calculate the quasinormal frequencies of the quantum-corrected Schwarzschild black hole by using the sixth-order Wentzel-Kramers-Brillouin (WKB) approximation, and also perform a numerical analysis that confirms the results obtained from this approach. We also find ...

In this paper we explore the effects of a Generalized Uncertainty Principle (GUP) on Schwarzschild black hole. In particular, we incorporate the effects of GUP into the Parikh-Wilczek tunneling process for Hawking radiation. To this effect, we observe that results obtained due to GUP correction resemble that of the Reissner-Nordstr\"{om} black hole, showing similarities to the nature of an electric charge. We also find that, within this framework, the emission is not purely t...

In this paper we focus on the partial wave method with the aim of exploring the scattering of massless scalar waves due to the noncommutative Schwarzschild black hole via Lorentzian smeared mass distribution. We determine the phase shift analytically in low-frequency limit and we show that the scattering and absorption cross section is modified. Specially, we show that in the low-frequency limit the scattering/absorption cross section has its value decreased when we increase ...

We analyze the scattering of a planar monochromatic electromagnetic wave incident upon a Schwarzschild black hole. We obtain accurate numerical results from the partial wave method for the electromagnetic scattering cross section, and show that they are in excellent agreement with analytical approximations. The scattering of electromagnetic waves is compared with the scattering of scalar, spinor and gravitational waves. We present a unified picture of the scattering of all ma...

In this work, we investigate the scattering of massless plane scalar waves by the high dimensional noncommutative Schwarzschild-Tangherlini black hole. We use the partial wave approach to determine the scattering and absorption cross sections in the incident wavelength range. Our numerical results demonstrate that the bigger the noncommutative parameter, the smaller the maximum value of the related partial absorption cross section, however the tendency is slightly. We also di...

In this work, we numerically investigate the scattering and absorption cross section of the massless scalar field from some well-known regular black holes by using the partial wave approach. Our computational results indicate that the larger the parameters, the lower the associated total absorption cross section maxima. When compared to the Schwarzschild black hole, the scattering cross section is enhanced in some regular black hole spacetimes, meanwhile the scattering width ...

Based on the minimum measurable momentum concepts associated with the quantum gravity effects acting on the large-scale dynamics of the universe, we study the quantum effect of the EUP on the Hawking evaporation of the black hole. The results show the quantum corrections may shorten the lifetime of the massive black hole. To verify the new EUP on the black hole stability, the scalar field and electromagnetic field are derived and the time evolution of the black hole is analyz...

We study scattering on the black hole horizon in a partial wave basis, with an impact parameter of the order of the Schwarzschild radius or less. This resembles the strong gravity regime where quantum gravitational effects appear. The scattering is governed by an infinite number of virtual gravitons exchanged on the horizon. Remarkably, they can all be summed non-perturbatively in $\hbar$ and $\gamma \sim M_{Pl}/M_{BH}$. These results generalise those obtained from studying g...
