The emission and absorption attributes of the UV-blue nuclear spectra of the Narrow-Line Seyfert 1 (NLS1) galaxies are analyzed based on high quality archival HST observations. Measurements from composite spectra as well as from individual sources reveal differences from the more general AGN samples: NLS1s have steeper (redder) UV-blue continua. We present the XMM-Newton spectra of three low-redshift intermediate Seyferts (one Sy1.5, and two Sy1.8), from our survey of hard spectrum Rosat sources. The three AGN are well fitted by absorbed powerlaws, with intrinsic nuclear photoelectric absorption from column densities between 1.3 and 4.0e21 cm-2. We present the analysis of grating spectra of the Narrow Line Seyfert 1 Galaxy IRAS 17020+4544 observed by XMM-Newton in 2004 and 2014. In a previous work on these data, we reported the discovery of a multi-component ultra-fast outflow that is capable of producing feedback in the host galaxy. We have used the ROSAT Bright Source Catalogue to extract a complete sample of sources selected in the band from 0.1-0.4 keV. This 1/4 keV-selected sample is comprised of 54 Seyfert galaxies, 25 BL Lacertae objects, 4 clusters and 27 Galactic stars or binaries. We report on the first XMM-Newton observation of the highly X-ray variable, radio-quiet, Narrow-Line Seyfert 1 galaxy IRAS 13224-3809 obtained during the guaranteed time programme with a 64 ks exposure. We report on Swift observations of the Narrow-Line Seyfert 1 galaxy (NLS1) RX J0148.3--2758. It was observed for 41.6 ks in 2005 May and for 15.8 ks in 2005 December. On short as well as on long timescales RX J0148.3--2758 is a highly variable source. It doubles its X-ray flux within 18-25 ks. We present the first analysis of the X-ray warm absorber and nuclear obscuration in the Seyfert 1.8 galaxy ESO 113-G010. We used archival data from a 100 ks XMM-Newton observation made in 2005.
