Mo doped ruthenocuprates Ru1-xMoxSr2Eu1.5Ce0.5Cu2O10 are synthesized for x = 0.0, 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8 and 1.0, and their magnetic and superconducting properties are studied. It has been found that the magnetic transition temperature TZFCpeak, which corresponds to the appearance of weak ferromagnetic effect, decreases from its value of 75 K for x = 0.0 to 22 K, 25 K and 18 K, respectively for the x = 0.2, 0.4 and 0.6 samples. Another finding is that the magnetic susceptibility ...

d.c. magnetization measurements performed on a polycrystalline sample of RuSr2GdCu2O8 (Ru-1212) showed distinct peaks of the magnetization upon entering the superconducting state. Since Sr2GdRuO6 (Sr-2116) is the precursor for the preparation of Ru-1212, a detailed investigation of the magnetic properties of Sr-2116 was carried out. Although similarities were observed in the magnetic behavior of Sr-2116 and Ru-1212 in the temperature range of the observed peaks, we can exclud...

In this paper, the effects produced by the iron substitutions in the (Y0.9Ca0.1)Ba2Cu4-xFexO8 system on the superconducting and structural properties are studied. The Rietveld fit of the crystal structure and Mossbauer spectroscopy results of (Y0.9Ca0.1)Ba2Cu4-xFexO8 samples indicate that, the iron atoms occupy the Cu(1) sites of the (Cu-O)2 double chain in fivefold coordination at low iron concentrations. Besides at high iron concentrations the iron atoms occupy the Cu(1) si...

We have measured the dc and ac electrical and magnetic properties in various magnetic fields of the recently reported superconducting ferromagnet RuSr2GdCu2O8. Our reversible magnetization measurements demonstrate the absence of a bulk Meissner state in the compound below the superconducting transition temperature. Several scenarios that might account for the absence of a bulk Meissner state, including the possible presence of a sponge-like non-uniform superconducting or a cr...

First principles calculations using the full-potential linearized augmented plane wave (FLAPW) method including intra-atomic noncollinear magnetism have been performed to determine the magnetic structures of RuSr$_{2}$GdCu$_{2}$O$_{8}$. The magnetism clearly arises from the RuO$_{6}$ octahedra where the moments on neighboring Ru sites order antiferromagnetically but cant perpendicular to the AFM axis - and so induce a weak ferromagnetism. The projected Ru moments along the AF...

The structural and microstructural properties of the Sm(Fe1-xRux)As(O0.85F0.15) system were investigated by means of high-resolution synchrotron X-ray powder diffraction between 10 K and 300 K. The tetragonal to orthorhombic structural transition temperature decreases with the increase of the Ru content and the symmetry breaking is completely suppressed around x ~ 0.38. By combining the present results with previous magnetic and resistivity measurements, a phase diagram for t...

Here we report the effect of structural and superconductivity properties on Ru doped CuIr2Te4 telluride chalcogenide. XRD results suggest that the CuIr2-xRuxTe4 maintain the disordered trigonal structure with space group P3m1 (No. 164) for x less than 0.3. The lattice constants, a and c, both decrease with increasing Ru content. Temperature-dependent resistivity, magnetic susceptibility and specific-heat measurements are performed to characterize the superconducting propertie...

Resistivity, thermoelectric power, heat capacity and magnetization for samples of RuSr_2(Gd_{1.5}Ce_{0.5})Cu_{2}O_{10-\delta} were investigated in the temperature range 1.8-300 K with a magnetic field up to 8 T. The resistive transitions to the superconducting state are found to be determined by the inhomogeneous (granular) structure, characterized by the intragranular, T_{c0}, and intergranular, T_{cg}, transition temperatures. Heat capacity, C(T), shows a jump at the superc...

Single crystals of Ba(Fe$_{1-x}$Ru$_x$)$_2$As$_2$, $x<0.37$, have been grown and characterized by structural, magnetic and transport measurements. These measurements show that the structural/magnetic phase transition found in pure BaFe$_2$As$_2$ at 134 K is suppressed monotonically by Ru doping, but, unlike doping with TM=Co, Ni, Cu, Rh or Pd, the coupled transition seen in the parent compound does not detectably split into two separate ones. Superconductivity is stabilized a...

The macroscopic magnetizations of Ru_1-xCu_xSr_2EuCu_2O_8+d with x between 0 and 0.15 were investigated. A ferromagnet-like transition as well as an antiferromagnet-like transition appear around T_M in the low-field magnetization and around T_AM in the high-field differential susceptibility, respectively. The separation between them, which is accompanied by a flat plateau in the magnetic C_p, increases with x. Superparamagnetic M(H) and slow spin dynamics, i.e. characteristic...
