We study the geodesic motion in a space-time describing a swirling universe. We show that the geodesic equations can be fully decoupled in the Hamilton-Jacobi formalism leading to an additional constant of motion. The analytical solutions to the geodesic equations can be given in terms of elementary and elliptic functions. We also consider a space-time describing a static black hole immersed in a swirling universe. In this case, full separation of variables is not possible an...

We examine the dynamics of a neutral particle around a Kerr-Newman black hole, and in particular focus on the effects of the charge of the spinning black hole on the motion of the particle. We first consider the innermost stable circular orbits (ISCO) on the equatorial plane. It is found that the presence of the charge of the black hole leads to the effective potential of the particle with stronger repulsive effects as compared with the Kerr black hole. As a result, the radiu...

It has recently been pointed out that arbitrary center-of-mass energies may be obtained for particle collisions near the horizon of an extremal Kerr black hole. We investigate this mechanism in cylindrical topology. In particular we consider the center-of-mass energies of a cylindrical black hole with an extremal rotation and charge parameter. The geodesics are first derived with a rotating charged cylindrical black hole producing the background gravitational field. Finally t...

We present numerical evidences for the existence of rotating black hole solutions in d-dimensional Einstein-Maxwell theory with a cosmological constant and for $d$ odd. The metric used possesses $(d+1)/2$ Killing vectors and the solutions have $(d-1)/2$ equal angular momenta. A Schwarschild-type coordinate is used for the radial variable and both signs of the cosmological constant are emphasized. Several properties of the solutions are studied, namely their surface gravity, m...

In this work we address the study of movement of charged particles in the background of charged black holes with non-trivial asymptotic behavior. We compute the exact trajectories for massive-charged particles in term of elliptic Jacobi function. Finally we obtain a detailed description of orbits for Reissner-Nordstr\"om (Anti)-de Sitter black holes in terms of charge, mass and energy of the particles.

Firstly we derive peculiar spherical Weyl solutions, using a general spherically symmetric metric due to a massive charged object with definite mass and radius. Afterwards, we present new analytical solutions for relevant cosmological terms, which appear in the metrics. Connecting the metrics to a new geometric definition of a charged Black Hole, we numerically investigate the effective potentials of the total dynamical system, considering massive and massless test particles,...

We present a general procedure for constructing exact black hole solutions with electric or magnetic charges in General Relativity coupled to a nonlinear electrodynamics. We obtain a variety of two-parameter family spherically symmetric black hole solutions. In particular, the singularity at the central of the space-time can be cancelled in the parameters space and the black hole solutions become regular everywhere in the space-time. We study the global properties of the solu...

The motion of charged test-particles in the gravitational field of a rotating and electromagnetically charged black hole as described by the Kerr-Newman metric is considered. We completely classify the colatitudinal and radial motion on the extended manifold $-\infty \leq r \leq \infty$, including orbits crossing the horizons or $r=0$. Analytical solutions of the equations of motion in terms of elliptic functions are presented which are valid for all types of orbits.

Motivated by the well-known charged BTZ black holes, we look for $(2+1)$-dimensional solutions of $F(R)$ gravity. At first we investigate some near horizon solutions and after that we obtain asymptotically Lifshitz black hole solutions. Finally, we discuss about rotating black holes with exponential form of $F(R)$ theory.

We discuss the exact electrically charged BTZ black hole solutions to the Einstein-Maxwell equations with a negative cosmological constant in 2+1 spacetime dimensions assuming a (anti-)self dual condition between the electromagnetic fields. In a coordinate condition there appears a logarithmic divergence in the angular momentum at spatial infinity. We show how it is to be regularized by taking the contribution from the boundary into account. We show another coordinate conditi...
