The production of $\phi$-mesons in proton-proton collisions is investigated within a relativistic meson-exchange model of hadronic interactions. The experimental prerequisites for extracting the $NN\phi$ coupling strength from this reaction are discussed. In the absence of a sufficient set of data, which would enable an accurate determination of the $NN\phi$ coupling strength, we perform a combined analysis, based on some reasonable assumptions, of the existing data for both ...

The LEPS and CLAS data of the incoherent photoproduction of $\phi$ meson from deuteron at low energies are studied with a model for $\phi$ meson photoproduction from nucleon consisting of Pomeron, $\pi$, and $\eta$ meson exchanges in the t-channel, and a postulated resonance, with parameters fitted to recent LEPS data on $\phi$ production from proton near threshold. The resonance was introduced to explain an observed bump in the forward differential cross section. Within impu...

Photoproduction of $\phi$-meson on protons was studied by means of linearly polarized photons at forward angles in the low-energy region from threshold to $E_{\gamma}$= 2.37 GeV. The differential cross sections at $t = -|t|_{min}$ do not increase smoothly as $E_{\gamma}$ increases, but show a local maximum at around 2.0 GeV. The angular distributions demonstrate that $\phi$-mesons are photo-produced predominantly by helicity-conserving processes, and the local maximum is not ...

The production of $\phi$ mesons in the reaction $e^{+}p \rightarrow e^{+} \phi p$ ($\phi \rightarrow K^{+}K^{-}$) at a median $Q^{2}$ of $10^{-4} \ \rm{GeV^2}$ has been studied with the ZEUS detector at HERA. The differential $\phi$ photoproduction cross section $d\sigma/dt$ has an exponential shape and has been determined in the kinematic range $0.1<|t|<0.5 \ \rm{GeV^2}$ and $60 < W < 80 \ \rm{GeV}$. An integrated cross section of $\sigma_{\gamma p \rightarrow \phi p} = 0.96...

We evaluate the large momentum transfer $J/\psi$ photoproduction with rapidity gaps in ultraperipheral proton-ion collisions at the LHC which provides an effective method of probing dynamics of large t elastic hard QCD Pomeron interactions. It is shown that the experimental studies of this process would allow to investigate the energy dependence of cross section of elastic scattering of a small $c\bar c$ dipole off the gluon over a wide range of invariant energies 10^3 < s_{c...

In this work we present the results of a theoretical analysis of the data on photoproduction of $f_0(980)$ meson in the laboratory photon energy between $3.0$ GeV and $3.8$ GeV. A comparison is done to the measurements performed by the CLAS collaboration at JLab accelerator for the exclusive reaction $\gamma p \to p f_0(980)$. The differential and integrated total cross sections are also computed for the cases of the mesons $f_0(1500)$, and $f_0(1710)$, focusing on the GlueX ...

Cross-section values for Compton scattering on the proton were measured at 25 kinematic settings over the range s = 5-11 and -t = 2-7 GeV2 with statistical accuracy of a few percent. The scaling power for the s-dependence of the cross section at fixed center of mass angle was found to be 8.0 +/ 0.2, strongly inconsistent with the prediction of perturbative QCD. The observed cross-section values are in fair agreement with the calculations using the handbag mechanism, in which ...

P-wave amplitudes for elastic K+ K- photoproduction on hydrogen near the phi(1020) resonance have been derived in an analytical form and a partial wave decomposition of the amplitudes has been performed. We discuss the high energy limit of the resulting amplitudes and compare two types of pomeron coupling to nucleons.

We discuss coherent and incoherent $\phi$ meson photoproduction off the deuteron at low energy and small momentum transfer with the aim to check whether the recent experimental data need for their interpretation the inclusion of exotic channels. Our analysis of the differential cross section and spin-density matrix elements shows that the existing data may be understood on the base of conventional dynamics. For a firm conclusion about a possible manifestation of exotic channe...

The CLAS Collaboration at Jefferson Lab conducted a photoproduction experiment on a proton target using a tagged photon beam with an energy range of 1.5-3.8 GeV during May-July 2004. With an integrated luminosity of about 75 $pb^{-1}$, this experiment provides the largest data set for photon-proton reactions ever collected. The reaction $\gamma p \to K^+K^+\Xi^{-}(1320)$ has been investigated and the preliminary results of the cross section measurement of $\Xi^-(1320)$ for th...
