Using the CLEO-II detector, we have measured the form factors associated with the electromagnetic transitions $\gamma^*\gamma \to $ meson. We have measured these form factors in the momentum transfer ranges from 1.5 to 9, 20, and 30 GeV^2 for $\pi^0, \eta$, and $\eta'$, respectively. We present a brief review of the final results of our analysis.

Using the CLEO~II detector, we have measured the differential cross sections for exclusive two-photon production of light pseudoscalar mesons $\pi^0$, $\eta$, and $\eta^{\prime}$. From our measurements we have obtained the form factors associated with the electromagnetic transitions $\gamma^*\gamma$ $\to$ meson. We have measured these form factors in the momentum transfer ranges from 1.5 to 9, 20, and 30 GeV$^2$ for $\pi^0$, $\eta$, and $\eta^{\prime}$, respectively, and have...

Using the CLEO-II detector, we have studied the exclusive two-photon production of the light pseudoscalar mesons in a single tagged mode. We report on a preliminary measurement of the $\pi^0$, $\eta$ and $\eta^{\prime}$ electromagnetic form factors in the $Q^2$ region from 2 ${\rm (GeV/c)}^2$ to 20 ${\rm (GeV/c)}^2$.}

We present the results of our recent analysis of the meson-photon transition form factors $F_{P\gamma}(Q^2)$ for the pseudoscalar mesons $P = \pi^0,\eta,\eta',\eta_c$, using the local-duality version of QCD sum rules.

In this talk it is reported on an analysis of the form factors for the transitions from a photon to one of the pseudoscalar mesons pi0, eta, eta', etac within the modified perturbative approach in which quark transverse degrees of freedom are retained. The report is focused on the discussion of the surprising features the new BaBar data exhibit, namely the sharp rise of the pi-gamma form factor with the photon virtuality and the strong breaking of flavor symmetry in the secto...

I discuss the progress in our theoretical understanding of the eta-gamma and eta'-gamma transition form factors, including the recent data from CLEO and L3 at large momentum transfer, Q^2. The experimental data above Q^2=1 GeV^2 can be well described by the hard scattering approach if the distribution amplitudes for eta and eta' mesons are taken close to the asymptotic one. Particular attention is paid to the interpretation of the data in terms of properly defined eta-eta' mi...

The photon-meson transition form factors of light pseudoscalar mesons $\pi ^{0}$, $\eta$, and $\eta ^{\prime}$ are systematically calculated in a light-cone framework, which is applicable as a light-cone quark model at low $Q^{2}$ and is also physically in accordance with the light-cone pQCD approach at large $Q^{2}$. The calculated results agree with the available experimental data at high energy scale. We also predict the low $Q^{2}$ behaviors of the photon-meson transition...

By means of the universal unitary and analytic model of electromagnetic structure of hadrons the two-photon decay rates of P=pi^0, eta, eta' mesons are determined in an alternative way from data on their transition form factors.

We study photon--meson transition form factors $\gamma^*(Q^2)\gamma \to \pi^0,\eta,\eta'$ at low and moderately high virtualities $Q^2$ of one of the photons, the second photon being real. For the description of the form factor at low $Q^2$, a nontrivial quark--antiquark $(q\bar q)$ structure of the photon in the soft region is assumed, i.e. the photon is treated much like an ordinary vector meson. At large $Q^2$, along with a perturbative tail of the soft wave function, as i...

Present-day experimental and phenomenological situation about pseudoscalar ($\pi^0$, $\eta$, $\eta'$) meson transition form factors is briefly reviewed. Necessity of more sophisticated behaviours in time-like region of these form factors is emphasized. Four-resonance unitary and analytic model of the pseudoscalar meson transition form factors is constructed, which describes well all existing experimental information.

Meson transition form factors describe the coupling of photons and hadrons. They are an important input to the calculations of the light-by-light scattering contribution of the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon. At the BESIII experiment in Beijing, the transition form factors of pseudoscalar mesons are studied in their Dalitz decays, in their radiative production in $e^+e^-$ annihilation, and in their production in two-photon scattering. All relevant kinematic regimes are...
