The review consists of two parts. In the first part the critical points in the past, present and future of neutrino physics (nuclear, particle and astroparticle) are reviewed. In the second part the contributions of Yugoslav physics to the physics of the neutrino are commented upon. The review is meant as a first reading for the newcomers to the field of neutrino physics.

A general overview of neutrino physics and astrophysics is given, starting with a historical account of the development of our understanding of neutrinos and how they helped to unravel the structure of the Standard Model. We discuss why it is so important to establish if neutrinos are massive and introduce the main scenarios to provide them a mass. The present bounds and the positive indications in favor of non-zero neutrino masses are discussed, including the recent results ...

A literature review of neutrino physics and the solar neutrino problem.

In this talk I review what we know and don't know about neutrinos, neutrino masses and lepton mixing. I also discuss the importance of the discovery that neutrinos have nonzero masses, and illustrate how little is currently known about the physics behind them.

I summarize the first four decades of solar neutrino research and suggest what may be possible to learn with extragalactic neutrinos and with solar neutrinos in the next decade.

These lecture notes are based on a course given at Institut de Physique Th\'eorique of CEA/Saclay in January/February 2013.

This report summarizes the current status of neutrino physics and the broad and exciting future prospects identified for the Neutrino Frontier as part of the 2021 Snowmass Process.

This article provides a (semi-)popular introduction to the phenomenology of neutrino masses.

In the last two decades experiments have established the existence of neutrino oscillations and most of the related parameters have by now been measured with reasonable accuracy. These results have accomplished a major progress for particle physics and cosmology. At present neutrino physics is a most vital domain of particle physics and cosmology and the existing open questions are of crucial importance. We review the present status of the subject, the main lessons that we ha...

Recent developments in our understanding of neutrino masses and their implications for physics beyond the standard model are reviewed.
