A study of the measurement of the two photon decay width times the branching ratio of a Higgs boson with the mass of 120 GeV in photon - photon collisions is presented, assuming a gamma-gamma integrated luminosity of 80 fb^-1 in the high energy part of the spectrum. The analysis is based on the reconstruction of the Higgs events produced in the gamma gamma --> H process, followed by the decay of the Higgs into a bbbar pair. A statistical error of the measurement of the two-ph...

Higgs-boson production at the Photon Collider at TESLA is studied for masses from 180 to 350 GeV, using realistic luminosity spectra and detector simulation. Parity of the SM Higgs-boson can be verified from the measurement of the interference effects in the W+ W- decay channel and of the angular correlations in the decays of W+ W- and ZZ pairs. SM-like Two Higgs Doublet Model (2HDM II) and model with the generic higgs couplings are considered.

Higgs boson production in partonic and electromagnetic (photon-photon) interactions of light- and heavy-ions (A-A) at the LHC and future colliders is summarized. Parton-induced cross sections --including gluon-gluon, vector-boson fusion, and associated W, Z, t processes-- are computed at NNLO with MCFM 8.0 using nuclear parton distribution functions. Photon-photon cross sections are computed with MadGraph 5.0 for ultraperipheral A-A interactions with both ions surviving the c...

1. We discuss the opportunities of complete Higgs boson discovery at different colliders. Main conclusion here is: Photon collider is the best for this goal. 2. We discuss how to use the Higgs boson (after its discovery) as the window to a New Physics. Main conclusion here is: Higgs boson production in gluon and photon fusion together with production in process $e\gamma\to eH$ provides very good window to a New Physics with the scale $\Lambda\gg M_H$.

Since the TESLA Technical Design Report (TDR) was published in 2001, the physics programme of an electron-positron linear collider (LC) has been further developed and a wide consensus has been reached on the physics case and the need for a high luminosity LC with center-of-mass energy up to about 1 TeV as the next worldwide high-energy physics project. The study of the Higgs boson properties represents a significant part of this physics programme. New studies demonstrate that...

One of the primary goals of the Large Hadron Collider is to understand the electroweak symmetry breaking mechanism. In the Standard Model, electroweak symmetry breaking is described by the Higgs mechanism which includes a scalar Higgs boson. Electroweak measurements constrain the Standard Model Higgs boson mass to be in the 114.4 to 157 GeV/c^2 range. Within this mass window, the Higgs predominantly decays into two b-quarks. As such, we investigate the prospect of observing t...

For an electron-photon collider the complete tree-level cross sections of the reaction $\gamma e \rightarrow \nu b \bar{b} W$ are computed at center-of-mass energies between 0.5 and 2.0 TeV, for top masses of 160 to 200 GeV and Higgs masses between 80 and 140 GeV within the Standard Model. It is shown that most of the $\nu b \bar{b}$ events are due to Higgs and $Z/\gamma^*$ production (with $H, Z/\gamma^* \rightarrow b \bar{b}$ decay) while top production (with $t \rightarrow...

We will summarize some aspects of the standard model Higgs boson at high energy $\gamma\gamma$ colliders, where the photon beams are realized by the laser backscattering method, including the direct Higgs boson production via $\gamma\gamma\rightarrow H$, and the measurement of the Yukawa coupling via the channel $\gamma\gamma\rightarrow t\bar tH$.

We explore for the first time the possibilities to measure an intermediate-mass (mH = 115-140 GeV/c^2) Standard-Model Higgs boson in electromagnetic proton-lead (pPb) interactions at the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC) via its b-bbar decay. Using equivalent Weizsaecker-Williams photon fluxes and Higgs effective field theory for the coupling gamma-gamma --> H, we obtain a leading-order cross section of the order of 0.3 pb for exclusive Higgs production in elastic (pPb --> gam...

We present the current development of the photoproduction approach for the Higgs boson with its application to $pp$ and $pA$ collisions at the LHC. We perform a different analysis for the Gap Survival Probability, where we consider a probability of 3% and also a more optimistic value of 10% based on the HERA data for dijet production. As a result, the cross section for the exclusive Higgs boson production is about 2 fb and 6 fb in $pp$ collisions and 617 and 2056 fb for $p$Pb...
