Yang-Baxter operators from algebra structures appeared for the first time in [16], [17] and [8]. Later, Yang-Baxter systems from entwining structures were constructed in [5]. In this paper we show that an algebra factorisation can be constructed from a Yang-Baxter system.

We present solutions for the (constant and spectral-parameter) Yang-Baxter equations and Yang-Baxter systems arising from algebra structures and discuss about their symmetries. In the last section, we present some applications.

This paper is based on a talk given at the 14-th International Workshop on Differential Geometry and Its Applications, hosted by the Petroleum Gas University from Ploiesti, between July 9-th and July 11-th, 2019. After presenting some historical facts, we will consider some geometry problems related to unification approaches. Jordan algebras and Lie algebras are the main non-associative structures. Attempts to unify non-associative algebras and associative algebras led to UJL...

We equip a matrix algebra with a weighted infinitesimal unitary bialgebraic structure, via a construction of a suitable coproduct. Furthermore, an infinitesimal unitary Hopf algebra, under the view of Aguiar, is constructed on a matrix algebra. By exploring the relationship between weighted infinitesimal bialgebras and pre-Lie algebras, we construct a pre-Lie algebraic structure and then a new Lie algebraic structure on a matrix algebra. We also introduce the weighted associa...

We present resent results regarding invertible, non-degenerate solutions of the set-theoretic Yang-Baxter and reflection equations. We recall the notion of braces and we present and prove various fundamental properties required for the solutions of the set theoretic Yang-Baxter equation. We then restrict our attention on involutive solutions and consider lambda parametric set-theoretic solutions of the Yang-Baxter equation and we extract the associated quantum algebra. We als...

In this review article, first we give the concrete formulas of representations and cohomologies of associative algebras, Lie algebras, pre-Lie algebras, Leibniz algebras and 3-Lie algebras and some of their strong homotopy analogues. Then we recall the graded Lie algebras and graded associative algebras that characterize these algebraic structures as Maurer-Cartan elements. The corresponding Maurer-Cartan element equips the graded Lie or associative algebra with a differentia...

We study the Yangians Y(a) associated with the simple Lie algebras a of type B, C or D. The algebra Y(a) can be regarded as a quotient of the extended Yangian X(a) whose defining relations are written in an R-matrix form. In this paper we are concerned with the algebraic structure and representations of the algebra X(a). We prove an analog of the Poincare-Birkhoff-Witt theorem for X(a) and show that the Yangian Y(a) can be realized as a subalgebra of X(a). Furthermore, we giv...

We develop a categorical approach to the dynamical Yang-Baxter equation (DYBE) for arbitrary Hopf algebras. In particular, we introduce the notion of a dynamical extension of a monoidal category, which provides a natural environment for quantum dynamical R-matrices, dynamical twists, {\em etc}. In this context, we define dynamical associative algebras and show that such algebras give quantizations of vector bundles on coadjoint orbits. We build a dynamical twist for any pair ...

In this paper, the different operator forms of classical Yang-Baxter equation are given in the tensor expression through a unified algebraic method. It is closely related to left-symmetric algebras which play an important role in many fields in mathematics and mathematical physics. By studying the relations between left-symmetric algebras and classical Yang-Baxter equation, we can construct left-symmetric algebras from certain classical r-matrices and conversely, there is a n...

In this article, we take a system, $XAX=BXB$, $XBX=AXA$, of Yang-Baxter type matrix equations that ``generalizes" the matrix Yang-Baxter equation. We completely characterize the case when $A,B$ are orthogonal idempotents.
